They are clearly a made in china rip off. Beware.

I bought a pair of these for my husband a year ago. He wears ecco shoes 24/7 but these he only wears with suits about 5 times a year. They disintegrated at the last wedding we went to. Of the dozen pairs of eccos my husband has owned over the years he has never had any problems until this pair. And I just noticed that the soles dont look anything like the pair in the picture. I guess they must be some made in China knock off garbage. It is a real shame since I paid full price for them. Beware.
