Great shoes and super comfortable.
I have the Ecco Multi-Vent Hiking shoe in both black and white and I can say I'm very pleased overall. The quality is very good and the shoes have a solid feel on the foot. The sole design makes for a comfortable supportive feeling when walking and up on my feet. The shoes have a removable insole, which allows for personal orthotics if needed, and they're relatively lightweight as well. The shoes are supposed to have GoreTex for waterproof construction, but I haven't really tested them much in heavy rain. The leather quality of the uppers is good; it's thin leather but seems very durable. I've had my pairs for about a year and wear them a few times a week and they're holding up well.
I bought a pair in Cayote and another pair in Titanium. They both are fantastic. The colors are striking, the fit is perfect, the feel and comfort is outstanding. I have my pairs of Ecco shoes and these are by far the best shoes I own and believe they and my feet will survive long days of walking. To say I am very happy would be a tremendous understatement.
I looked for weeks and couldn’t make up my mind what I wanted. I wanted something as durable as a boot but light weight and easy to wear like a sneaker. Saw these and thought it would be perfect. A leather, waterproof hiking sneaker. The perfect hybrid. And they are more comfortable than I expected. Exactly what I had in mind. Couldn’t be more pleased. Might even purchase another color.
So far very good, have to wait for durability
The ecco/Amazon marketing and discriptions and prices are insane and make no sense. It's too bad. Of course, ECCO is a once great name in shoes that has fallen in respect. However, this is an excellent shoe. It has a relatively soft sole with a great tacky bottom that makes it useful on slick surfaces. It is not a trail or hiking shoe. I wear it to and around campus. The brown leather looks strangely and slightly green in some light, but that is rare. These shoes have grown on me in this year's wet weather, when so many others slip and slide.
First off these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned! The leather looks great, and ages very nice. The leather and strings so far have held up very well, however the soles are destroyed at 8 months. At 150 i would expect the soles to last quite a bit longer. They are completely delaminating, and rotting.
