The leather upper feels great, breathable and well made. I can go on and on when it comes to Ecco shoes. They are built to last.I observed the logo is etched on the side of the heel outside and not on the back of the heel. This is how it shows on the ECCO website too for Marine/Marine/Lion color model, so I think it's legit. It's made in Slovakia.

I am giving these a 4 star but with an * .. They are really nice , very comfortable and look great. However, they are too narrow on the sides and not tall enough. Actually made the top of my foot hurt. If they had a half size or whole size larger, I would have purchased those. But since they do not, I went for the refund. Would recommend buying a size up if you have larger feet. If they fit correctly would easily be 5stars . Ordered size 12 but a 12.5 or 13 is needed

Ecco has been dropping quality over the years.
Always liked Ecco shoes as they fit me better than any other brand. Have had about a dozen pairs and currently have 2. Ecco has been dropping quality, particularly in the soles. 2 pairs in the past had a piece of solver break off from the middle with the rest of the shoe staying intact. Recently, one shoe completely disintegrated for nor apparent reason, albeit several years old, but not worn a lot. It fell apart within hours, that I had to duck tape it twice on the same day and eventually had to cut the work day short because I couldn’t even get around anymore without the shoe coming off. Again, it was the sole disintegrating, that looked perfectly fine that morning or I would not have worn it to work.The thing about Ecco shoes is that they have been very comfortable. Other brands I have to buy wide, but Ecco doesn’t have wide yet you could buy any model and it would fit well. I have had several models. Well, this latest pair doesn’t fit. It feels narrower, more like Clark’s (another brand I buy) only Clark’s is now of superior quality. 10 years ago it was the other way around.
