Love these boots for my daily walks with my 70-year old body on various terrain. They are easy on/off and extremely comfortable to wear, offering support and stability without being cumbersome. Just what I’ve been searching for after ordering and returning a couple of other brands/syles!
If you return this you have to pay 75 dollars towards postage. It has to go to Slovakia. I had no idea I was ordering from out of the country. Also they sent me a whole size bigger than what I ordered.
Nothing!
These boots are extremely comfortable and supportive on rocky terrain. I’ve worn them less than a dozen times for no more than 3 hours and the outer material is starting to chafe. With the amount spent I’d hope they’d hold up better but still comfortable.
I love the color, they will look like fallen leaves when hiking. The comfort? Don't need to be mentioned when ECCO:-)
I’ve had these boots less than a year and they’ve already been on quite a few hikes and long distance backpacking wilderness adventures. They took some getting used to, as the back seam provides no cushion in arguably one of the most important places there should be some padding (the heel). They initially gave me some blistering.I recently returned from a long weekend in the wilderness and hiked over 40 miles altogether. The boots did great and the tread never slipped despite going over various, highly rugged terrain and steep inclines. The morning of packout, I went walking down a level path from camp to check that our bear bag had been collected and I felt the laces on one boot give way after just lacing up. There must have been a defect or just poor construction in the connection of back plate that holds the top-most metal lace hooks. It just popped clean off - I was able to recover the lace hook itself, but was unable to find the plate that holds it in place. I had to make the five mile hike back to the car with the laces wrapped around the boot collar at the ankle and the lace hooks are now completely unusable for that boot. I can obviously still wrap the laces around the ankle, but it’s a total bummer to have this big of a defect on such new shoes. My first pair of ECCO boots lasted me twelve years before needing to be replaced due to wear- I’m afraid I’m not going to be able to brag about this pair the same way. Very unfortunate.
