I love that these are high fashion & water proof. Very comfortable to wear. I’ve looked a long time to find this combination of boots.
They have behaved well in wet conditions so far. They are a little chunky though but look polished and classy.I have yet to try them out cycling but I am hoping they will have a good grip and that the soles will not crack or break with the pedals.
Love Ecco. But.. these fit snug. I wear and 8 or 39 European. Unfortunatly I have to return them.
I have achillies tendinitis and have been looking for a pair of boots that are attractive and comfortable. I have probably worn these boots about a half dozen times so far and I have not had any pain in my achiever after standing for hours. They are more comfortable than even my sneakers. Here's a few things to know about these boots. They are well made and are fitted to your foot. If you have wide width feet these boots will not be for you. I have regular width feet and they fit like a dream. Also, my feet are exactly 10" long and I ordered the siz 9-9.5. You cannot wear thick socks with these boots, you need thin socks. And the insert is not extra cushioned or padded. I think most of the comfort comes from the material that is used on the sole itself.
They are well made and beautiful but they are very narrow, I can't understand why ECCO made them so narrow. To put them on, it is not so easy and simple thing to do like any other boots. I have a regular size foot, depends of the brand my shoes are size 7.5-8.0, but I bought this boots size 8.0-8.5 because of the reviews saying to buy a bigger size, when I was walking with them at home, they were compressing my achilles tendons even their lenght is right on for my foot. I am going to return them.
Nice boots, with some misgivings.I've been wearing these at work for about 2+ months. I wear a 41 (or 10.5), in almost every shoe. These boots have 2 inserts, presumably to allow a bit more room, if you're between sizes, or have a wider foot. I use orthotics (so no Ecco inserts), because there isn't enough arch support, regardless of Ecco insert used. Any foot issues? These can't be worn without additional support. Therefore, if you're wearing an orthotic, you'll probably have to size up. The trouble with sizing up is that now you have a very large boot profile and it'll appear you're wearing your dad's galoshes. 41 was snug, 42 was sloppy. I decided to go with slightly snug. While they're very comfortable out of the box, they remain at that comfort level. Don't expect them to loosen up much. They do everything expected: Keep the snow off, keep your feet warm-ish (they aren't insulated), and look nice. The first issue: the pull-loop on the boot is almost useless due to it's small tidy size. The waterproof "sock" will make pulling the boot on, and trying to get the boot off, difficult. Any mobility issues? Don't buy this boot. The second issue I have with this boot is the sole. It's durable enough, but is downright useless on anything slippery. I'd love to see an oil-resistant sole on these and better tread, in the future. If you're using these as a uniform complement, be very careful, or plan to wear crampons. They are life-threatening, to be perfectly dramatic. They are not suitable for snowy conditions, or wet painted surfaces. The third issue, which is common with the waterproof-sock in any brand - and might not actually be an issue for you - is that if the boot is keeping the wet out, it's also keeping your foot sweat in. Damp feet can lead to cold feet. Breathability is non-existent. I'm outside only sporadically, so while it bugs me, it's not a deal-breaker.In short, these were the only boots that I could find that were uniform-friendly, presumably "waterproof," and looked like they could hold up through the winter...while accommodating an orthotic. They have their issues but are overall, a nice boot. Considering my personal experience though, I'll look for a different pair next season.
I bought these about 2 weeks before a trip to Italy and wore them maybe a few hours leading up to the trip. While on trip, I wore them all day during 2 rainy days and did a lot of walking. They were comfortable and waterproof. Never experienced discomfort because they were new. I’d recommend them if you are looking to have something that looks good with jeans and can be worn all day for long walks.
