Better than great! For narrow feet, it's perfect. But I do wear a thick sock with it now that it's winter. Without the sock -- or with a thinner sock -- you might need an insert in the ball of the foot to keep the shoe from sliding on the foot when you walk on uneven inclines/declines. The shoe is also incredibly sturdy. Ecco at its best!
