I am so glad I bought these for myself. I love hiking and my last pair of boots just plum wore out. Because, well, hiking. Anyway, I love the color the little purple splash lets me remember I am a girl even though I love to do boy things. Because, well, boys... Anyway, I highly recommend these they are comfortable with flexible soles and so far have been an asset to my outdoor adventures. Oh, by the way they are waterproof.

Good fit based on Amazon's recommendation to me from my previous shoe orders. I used to wear a 10, but my feet are flat and have spread so an 11 was perfect. These provided the comfort and ankle support needed for my trail hike at Murchison Falls in Uganda last summer. They are pretty cute and kept my feet dry as well in muddy areas with puddles.

These boots are well made and look really nice. They are also lightweight. I do a lot of trail hiking and these boots are perfect for my lifestyle.
These hiking boots look great, but they are incredibly uncomfortable. I keep hoping they will break in and not cause blisters on my heels. I have changed socks, put inserts in, and bandages on my heels, to no avail. I recently ordered heel guards, hoping they will help. (The heel guards have not arrived yet.) I have purchased other hiking boots and never needed to "break them in." Although cute, I will not purchase Eddie Bauer hiking boots again.Update: the heel guards arrived. They are very comfortable, but did nothing to help change my opinion of the boots. I still ended up getting blisters on the sides of my feet. It's time to let them go. Three months and I'm still getting blisters. Ugh!!!
Comfortable but not water proof. I bought a pair mid-June to work in - merchandising plants. By November I had holes in the soles and one was separating from the bottom of the shoe. (In 5 MONTHS?????!) And I was not wearing them 40 hours a week. Would not recommend.
