Very nice but not for me. Here's why:
This was pretty experimental for me. This is a very unique style boot but I saw the potential and wanted to give it a try. Upon opening it, I can tell it is high quality. The faux leather is mostly matte which is where fake leathers often go wrong. A lot of fake leather looks too shiny, feels too plastic, isn't flexible, has a weird chemically odor, etc. Not this one! The faux leather actually looks real, is flexible, and comfortable. The style is also so unique! I thought the little metal accent on the toes was a nice touch. I was a little worried about sizing because I have wide feet and have therefore not had much luck with pointed toe shoes. They are inherently narrow so I was definitely expecting that with this. However, they fit rather comfortably so they are indeed wide foot friendly! Just get your exact size or size up if you're unsure. It fit me perfectly though. However, online the "fold over" part of the boot lands just a little beneath where the heel begins. In real life though, I noticed the "fold over" practically reaches the bottom of the heel so there is not much heel showing. Without much of the heel showing, it transforms the look from a "boot" to a rectangular block with a pointed toe. Not sure if that makes sense but it makes more sense seeing it in person. In my side view photo, you can see a little of the heel with my lifted foot. But if you look at the same photo and look at my foot that isn't lifted, you can see how the heel practically disappears and it looks just like a straight rectangle the whole way down. I know it may seem minor, but it honestly changes the whole appearance of the boot altogether. It just doesn't have the same appeal that heeled boots normally have without the heel being visible. It is important to note though, that not every pair will likely be built exactly like this one. I'm sure someone else may get the same pair of boots from the same company and the "fold over" part isn't as long...in which case this is a moot point. However, for the pair I received, this was the case.Additionally, the "fold over" part wasn't as "scrunched" as I was hoping for. A scrunch adds a somewhat cute, comfy appearance to it but the pair I received in real life was mostly straight down with minimal scrunch (which adds to the sort of "rectangular" appearance I previously described). All in all though, the style just ended up not being for me and again, the heel aspect really was a make-or-break in my eyes. However, If you like this style full heartedly and don't mind the heel thing, then this is a rather fabulous and high-quality product for the price.
