Gorgeous but uncomfortable
These heels are super cute with my Helen of Troy costume but they are pretty uncomfortable. I am used to wearing 4-5 inch heels and I am fully aware of how uncomfortable heels can be. But these are probably the most uncomfortable heels I have ever worn. I think because the base is so thin. I will buy the heel pads and use those because I am definitely wearing the heels! The straps fit my legs but the top one barely fit! There is about 1/2 inch left from where I poked the new hole! If you have thick calves, these might not fit :( I wear a size 6.5 so I bought a size 7 and they barely fit. The toe part is very narrow and definitely for slim feet. Overall if you aren't walking or dancing all night, these will be great!

Don’t buy! Cheap, used, and don’t fit
These shoes look very cute online but are extremely cheap looking in person. The seller sent me shoes that had been used, as one of the straps had multiple holes in it for the buckle to be adjusted while the other one did not. The buckles don’t fit around normal sized calves very well, either too tight or way too lose. The shoes themselves run very small, the material is very cheap, and the design that looks cute in the photos doesn’t lay correctly against skin. I would not purchase these shoes again and attempted a refund but the seller tries to keep customers from returning them as they only allow a mail carrier to pick them off, not for them to be dropped off. Living in the country makes this expensive to return when it’s not an accurate description of what the shoe actually is.

Sandal not practicle
Unfortunately, I didn't keep these sandals for my costume. They are a super nice looking shoe, however they could make the heel about 2" shorter and the foot a bit wider. For narrow feet and if you are going sit most of the time they may work, but I bought them for my Warrior Costume and due to the height it lost the effect of warrior. However, if you have very narrow feet and don't mind 5" then these are for you. One other thing if curious about the buckles...it buckles all the way up to mid-calf and for those who don't have calfs it is possible they may not stay up...I do and they fit nicely.

A detailed and informative breakdown
I am a solid 8.5. I bought a 9 and they fit perfectly. I find the sizing to be in line with the sizing for the brand's other shoes.A lot of reviewers mentioned the toes sliding forward and hanging over. I bought pads for the balls of my foot to help prevent sliding, but I am afraid the toe over-hang is real. I have not worn these for more than a few minutes, but I guarantee you that these will do evil things to my pinky toes due to wear the straps rest.These heels are 5" with no support platform. There is also no ankle support, so be mindful of your step. That said, I did not find these too difficult to walk in, but I wear high heels often. I think the people mentioning the heel being uncomfortably heigh probably only wear modest heels.People mentioned the leg straps either being too small or being too large. My calf measures 14" around. My ankle is 9" around. The top strap and the bottom strap fit with out me adding additional holes. The middle two straps needed additional holes added to get the right fit. As one reviewer said, you can easily punch a new hole in with a safety pin.Overall, these are very lovely *costume* shoes.

So Uncomfortable!!
Well, the first thing that sucked about these shoes were that they came in and felt way too small. I am a size 9, and I honestly could not believe what I got was a size 9. My toes felt so cramped. I couldn't wear these shoes all night, they were far too uncomfortable. Also, the way they wrapped them made the part that goes up your leg look weird and warped. They did look good, I'll give them that, but the pain wasn't worth it. The arch on them is so extreme and the material so slippery, that your feet push forward, causing your toes to spill out the front. I think that's what made them feel they were too small. They just aren't made well at all. They're made to look good, and comfort wasn't taken into account here. So, if you can deal with a lot of pain, get em. If you're like me and you'd rather be able to wear them all night without crying, then get a pair of flat roman sandals if this is for a greek or roman costume. Believe me, they feel so much better!!

So my purchase is solely for Halloween. I am going as a greek goddess and these were the exact shoes worn on the model for my costume, but they were $100 on the costume website and $70 on another well known website so Amazon was my saving grace to not break the bank on a costume shoe. I am an 8.5, ordered a 9 and they fit very well. I will most likely add a pad at the ball of my foot because after a few mins my toes were creeping down but thats common. As mentioned in other reviews the straps are larger for small calfed individuals so I easily made holes with a thicker sewing needle and will end up fastening the loose ends to the straps with fashion tape. They aren’t hard to walk in for me because I wear heels quite often but can totally understand if you aren’t use to wear a 5 inch heel on a skinner shoe base, DONT buy these. The pictures were taken minutes after they arrived, so the straps are a little bent because of how they were packaged, but I plan on strapping them to a shoe form I have, to help them settle. I think these are great quality and even come with extra heel pieces to replace the ones on the shoe if they end up getting worn out. The stitching doesn’t look cheaply made at all either and I haven’t worn them with my costume yet or for hours but I think they aren’t too uncomfortable and the toe straps are softer than they appear. If you are thinking about it, just go for it. Update: 10/31/21 wore them all night at a party and had no issues! But again I wear heels daily! Got so many compliments!
