I ended up with the wrong color as the photo for this item looks black. However, the description clearly says brown. Etnies are the best skate shoes available. Very durable and protects the foot so well. They arent the cheapest shoe on the market but wrll worth it. Fit is true to size. Arch support is just right. Quality, comfort and style.
Good padding definitely a must if you ride.

i already had two pair that i'm wearing. and decided to order another two pair as I like them that much. The soles are thinner than I would like and I wish they had a pull-up strap in the back to keep the pant leg up off the ground. But for style and non-flashy appearance they are awesome!
I'm on my feet all day at work and walk 10-12 miles in a given day and I've always found skate shoes to be more comfortable than regular sneakers. I'm buying a pair of these every 6 months because they're not only comfortable, but seem to last a lot longer than other brands. It's also a plus that they come in all black, it's surprisingly hard to find a basic sneaker that's not a bunch of random lame colors these days.One of the other reviews mentioned one of the seems popping due to threading coming loose. One out of the 6 or so pairs I've ordered has done that and did it within the first few days I had them, but once it popped it didn't keep coming undone or anything so it wasn't that big a deal.
The shoes look great. The sole is stiffer than I expected, and I hope it flexes some more after breaking in. The fitting is odd though: my usual sneaker size is 10.5 US and I have wide feet. Out of caution, I ordered a full size larger. The small toe is almost rubbing; yet the shoes require a heel pad to keep them from sloshing about.
