Thankyou for the very comfortable and well made work boots at a very good price. Greatly appreciated.
Made very well. Comfortable from the beginning. Really holding up. Good product.
Summary: These are a good, solid pair of boots. You can get better boots, but probably not at this price. This is the second pair of these boots I’ve owned. The first pair were soft toe and I used them for light winter boots and light labor. I used them for well over a year and they held up fine. With this pair (steel toe), I work in lawn care, tree work, and light construction. I’m not as rough on these boots as “real” construction, but they’re definitely not a fashion piece.Pros: The leather has held up great (I treat them regularly with Hubert’s shoe grease). They’re not waterproof per se, but with treatment, they’re water resistant. I have not had issues with the midsole dissolving, which was apparently a problem at one point. The size seems accurate and I have enough room for my toes in the safety cap. I’m coming from barefoot style footwear (Whitin, Lems), so I consider them a little uncomfortable, but that’s an unfair comparison. These are comfortable enough as far as work boots go.Cons: The laces that came with the boots were not high quality. You’ll want a spare set on hand or you’ll want to swap them out right off the bat. The outsole has started to crack sooner than I expected (see picture). This has not seemed to affect the function of the boot, but it is a negative point. The insoles that came with the boots are fine, but after being on my feet all day, I feel a bit like I’ve been walking barefoot on concrete. It would be a good idea to get some nicer insoles if you’re prone to foot pain. Some of the stitching has started to come out. The boots are holding together fine, but again it’s a negative. For moderately heavy labor, these boots can reasonably be expected to last 6 months (which seems to be the standard in construction boots). They may very well last longer than that, but I’ve used them for about a half of a year and they’re doing fine but starting to wear in ways that may affect usability in another 3-6 months. In the “work-boot” lines of work, 6-9 months is a normal lifespan even for boots that run $200-$300. As long as those are your expectations, if you need a cheap pair of good enough work boots, these will not disappoint.
Worth it! Great quality will buy again when my pair wears out.
Shoes fit gear and are comfortable needing no break in. Color was as described, and feel high quality. The grip was goos on my roof and other surfaces. They don't feel heavy and easy to wear for long periods.
The fit is ok. I have one boot that is slightly smaller than the other one which is causing some discomfort. These are are not $250 work boots but would expect some better overall quality. The seller sent me new insoles to try. They worked for a few days but they broke down quickly, my toe is hitting rubbing against the inside again.I don’t use them everyday. Only use them as motorcycle boots when I ride my harley. I spent the weekend in them for Street vibrations and my feet hurt after 4 days in the them.although i’ve owned them for a little bit I maybe have 20 - 8 hours days in them plus 4 full days. So they may not be totally broken i yet. With my last ride this weekend the laces snapped. So have to order some of those today.Overall, Not sure i could use them for everyday work. They are good for some yard work /weekend warrior type stuff.
I have tried several boots from different manufacturers over the years. I had 3 pairs of a Red Wing boot I loved but the soles weren't replaceable and the boots eventually wore out. So, moved on to Timberland. Have two different versions of their "Pro" boots, one with a non-repairable sole, and one with. The non-repairable sole boots broke in and were comfortable. However, they wore out too, and the soles cracked open. The other pair is till going but their was a substantial break-in period. I also own another pair of Red Wing 'Irish setters' and They absolutely kill my feet after 5-6 hours.Enter Ever-Boot. I bought the Steel toe version. $70. From minute one these boots were comfortable. NO break in period it seems. Wore them all day for three days brand new, no issues. I even had to step into 3" of water a few times the first day and my feet stayed dry. They are roomy, but I would say not oversize. I didn't want to buy a half-size lower and find they were too tight so i just bought my size and I'm satisfied. For a $70 boot, these can't be beat thus far. The sole is, as some stated, harder rubber so make sure to wear them on concrete and gravel to get the soles broken in and scuffed up before you take them onto a roof for instance, otherwise you'll slide right off. If they last a year I'll have gotten my money"s worth. I'm already thinking of ordering a second pair. With Amazon's return policy, just order them. You can't go wrong.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE 10/13/20I stand by the original review I posted on these boots. However, I see where some reviewers are coming from when they state these boots run a size or half-size too big. After wearing them for construction on numerous occasions I have noticed they have gotten more roomy inside. Now when I go down an incline, my foot slides a bit inside the boot. So, you MAY want to order a half size smaller and see what happens during subsequent use. They're still pretty decent but I do find that no matter what boots I'm wearing, I really need to change them out midday for another pair as my feet get tired of the same boot after working in them for 4-5 hours.
