Comfy shoe, smaller than expected
I've owned my pair of Defy Lace shoes for about 1 year now, now on the 2nd sole, resoled with the original TRAX rubber. These shoes are great for chill indoor climbing, very comfy, but sticky and stiff enough to be better than rental shoes. Personally I think they're on par with the La Sportiva Tarantulace so honestly, whichever one you can find cheaper, you'll get a similar quality product.As other reviewers mentioned, these are smaller than expected but not dramatically smaller. My TC Pros are 44, Defy Lace is 44.5. For additional comparison, I wear 10.5 USA for my running shoe (HOKA), and the Defy Lace is listed as 11. I wear socks while climbing.

Sizing 1 size too small
I've never tried on these shoes or seen them in person until I ordered them. However, the sizing is way off IMO. I normally wear a size 9, which is what I ordered, and they were at least a full size too small. They also showed minor signs of wear. I might have kept them if not for the sizing issue; ultimately, I had to return them. 4 stars because the shoe quality seemed great and I don't want to take away from the rating due to the sizing or minor wear.

Don’t purchase these
There is a very short return window for a very expensive shoe. I bought it as a gift but even though I bought a size that was a full size larger , it still didn’t fit. And time I got it back from my nephew it was too late to return it. There are way too many other places to order on Amazon that have reasonable return policy.

The sizes are not close to US sizing
Ordered and received size 15 shoes label says US size 15 but are not even close more like a 10 or 11. My normal shoe size is 13.
