Features

  • Shoe Length Runs Shorter: The Brisa 2 tends to run short in length compared to its predecessor, the Brisa 1. If you are unsure about your size, it’s advisable to size up by half a size or measure your foot according to the provided instructions.
  • Rocker Bottom: Featuring the innovative PodiaRocker 25, this shoe design enhances lateral stability with a broader foot shape that activates lower and core body muscle groups more effectively than standard walking styles.
  • Max Cushioned Midsole: The cushioned foam midsole provides excellent shock absorption while being 20% lighter than the original Brisa model, ensuring comfort during prolonged wear.
  • Breathable, Engineered Mesh: The wide vent mesh promotes air circulation, keeping your feet cool and dry. This double padded layer ensures durability, allowing the shoe to last longer.
  • Molded Heel Cup Insole: Equipped with a deep cushioned EVA foam sock and rounded heel cup, the insole provides improved strike comfort. It’s also removable for those who may want to use custom inserts.
  • Confident Walk: The expanded forefoot width and non-slip rubber grip soleplate offer solid support, while the recessed rubber soleplate maximizes traction without adding extra weight.

Pros

  • Comfortable cushioning minimizes stress on joints.
  • The rocker bottom design assists in smooth heel-to-toe transitions.
  • Breathable materials keep feet dry and comfortable during walks.
  • Lightweight construction enhances portability and ease of wear.
  • Removable insoles allow for custom orthotics if needed.

Cons

  • Size runs shorter than traditional sizing; careful measurement can be required.
  • Some users may find the rocker bottom unfamiliar at first.
  • The price point may be higher than average walking shoes on the market.

Rocker bottom

Update but original review just after: 6 months later. Still love my black ones. Use them to cook in. Or stand around in. Keeps weight iff low back so helps with squished disk. Bought the white ones for my daughter-in-law and they are like silver white they are gorgeous . She uses them at the mall because her back pain and at home. She loves them. Be careful going up and down the stairs the first couple times to you get used to them she says . First review: Definitely similar to the shape ups but I found these to have more cushion on the edges in inside. Much more comfortable than Skechers. I almost returned them immediately because they felt too tight especially on the top of the toes but I wore them around the home for an hour and they are so comfortable. They stretched out just enough perfectly!!!. I have been wearing them around the home for a couple weeks and love cooking in them because my weight is not on my heels and not hurting my lower back. I have deep carpeted steep stairs and I have had zero issues running up and down them with these shoes on. I was concerned about stability but no issues. Stable shoes. I wouldn't use them for jumping jacks😁 I am surprised at how comfortable they are and how quickly they stretched out just enough. I would not return without wearing them for a couple of hours. I return most of my shoes because they are not what they claim. They are usually stiff Etc. I don't know if these would hold up to power walking on asphalt or trails but they do seem to be of good quality. I am loving mine at home. I did wish it had a bit more of a rocker bottom but am finding that they're more comfortable with the more give to them then the Skechers. These are much better than skechers.

Perfect walking shoe

Skechers never let me down. I wear a size 8 medium. Fits perfectly and comfortably. My calves get a work out as well. Love their product very much and will continue to buy from this company.

Great Sneakers

Updated: I'm revising my review from 5 to 4 stars because on my second purchase, I had a similar situation to what others described: shoes that squeak or make noise. Not a major issue in public or if you have earphones in, but in a quiet room, you can definitely hear some noise on movement. Still good budget rocking shoes overall, just have room for improvement.Original:I tried a lot of different pairs trying to find the best alternative for my beloved Skechers Shape-ups that are no longer available. While these are not exactly the same, they were the best I found as a replacement. They are very comfortable and well made. My personal experience is that they are made way bigger than stated size. I usually wear 8.5 in most regular shoes but have to get 9 in almost all sneakers (including the Shape-ups), but after reading reviews that said they tend to run big, I ordered 8.5. To my surprise, the 8.5 were way too big, but I liked them very much, so I ended up getting 8 and they fit perfectly. I have never worn 8 in any other shoe brand as an adult in my life. Once I found the right fit in this brand, I found them to be very comfortable, supportive and well made. Rocker type shoes are hard to find but I prefer them for walking and light running and am very happy I found these!

Good for a Cheap Shoe

I have worn MBT’s and Ryn shoes for years and they have saved my knees. On a recent trip, a pair of my Ryns exploded on the plane and I was desperate for a pair of shoes with a rocker bottom because I was going to be doing a ton of walking. I bought these because the looked like they had a rocker bottom and they were cheap so I hoped they’d do. I normally wer an 8.5 in tennis shoes (8 in shoes) but the 8s fit fine. The shoes are a little narrow in the toe box and the underside is not nearly as round as it looks. They are also very lightweight — not a lot of stabilization like I’m used to. But, for cheap shoes, they worked out fine. I walked all over the place for five days and my knees and back didn’t hurt. Probably won’t be my go-to shoes but I wouldn’t hesistate to wear them again or throw them in a bag for a quick trip.

Much better than expected

After breaking fib, tib and ankle, the physical therapist recommended rocker sole Sketchers for plantar fasciitis that developed thru the long recovery. I discovered that Sketchers no longer makes those so I had to try something. I was really pleasantly surprised to find these shoes really help resolve my problem. There isn't a big arch support inside the shoe, but the rocker sole places your arch in a supported position in each step. After months of pain, it finally felt good to have arch support and weight off the heel. It also works by stretching the bottom length of your foot as you walk... not that your notice at all but within a couple of weeks, the very painful plantar fasciitis was finally gone! The shoes are well constructed with leather, they arrived on time and now I will be looking to get another pair in the wild colors for every day around the house. I normally wear a 7 but with swelling in the ankle joint from surgery, I was unsure of what size to get. But I'm glad I read the reviews and stuck with the same size. They are slightly wider than I normally wear but it turned out I had no slippage and also no pain in the ankle or toes because of the design. They are perfect.

Comfortable

Update: ONE STAR. Injured the achilles area of my ankle in one short, simple walk. Caused strain and soreness that lasted days and can still feel at times— never had a problem there prior to using these. May work for you, but terrible for me!! Please be cautious. Video still accurate for where the rocker point is, etc.Original post: Comfortable, supportive without a confining stiffness. Wasn’t sure how the rocker would feel but I like it. It’s fluid and I don’t find it to be awkward. The rocking point is sort of behind the arch of the foot, seems comfortable out of the box and walking inside, but the true test will be walking for long periods. So far so good!

I really love these shoes! I used to wear them 15+ years ago. I thought they stopped making them. So glad to have found them on Amazon.
