While well made, these do not have a lot of give for a high instep (the vertical thickness of the foot. For someone with a wide foot, these will not be a good fit at all. However, a narrower foot with an average instep should be fine. The textured bed is not intrusive in feel and the quality of the leather and stitching is quite good. These are fairly light as well. Since they are slides, they will be best for indoor use the sole is definitely built to give good traction. They look really nice with jeans and give a decent amount of support to the arch. Still, the narrow instep can be an issue.

These are very nice
I typically wear men's size 10.5 footwear. Since there were no half sizes available for these I thought it best to go larger rather than smaller. The size 11 sandals fit me pretty well and I think it was the right choice.I like these sandals very much. They are well made from good quality materials and very comfortable to wear. The foam in the footbed has large dimples that felt odd at first, not bad at all, just odd. After I wore them a couple days I didn't notice the dimples any more.I mainly wear these as house slippers and they are very good for that. I can wear them with or without socks, as long as the socks are not too thick. They are good around the house, even going up and down the stairs.I don't wear them outdoors very much because they are a bit too casual for my outdoor needs, but I have spent some time wearing them outside and they were better than I expected. The soles are nice and firm and I'm able to go out on the rocky ground out here without feeling the rocks through the soles. I think a strap that goes around the back of the foot would help keep them from falling off and make them much better outdoor footwear. I see a lot of this style of sandal with the heel strap and I wish these had one.Overall I like these sandals a lot. They are good quality and well made. 54 dollars seems pretty expensive to me for house slippers, but if these are the kind of shoes you normally wear you might think they are a good value.
