I just received these shoes and I love them! I’m using them as house slippers and they’re so comfy and warm! I sized up as per the reviews, I wear 7.5 to 8 and bought 9. Real shearling, an amazing deal for the price!
So comfy and super warm but yes they do run small. I normally am an 8 in everything and I listened to the comments and got a size 9 and they just barely fit…with no socks my toes are touching the end of the shoe.
These are a great lower-cost alternative to Uggs. I’ve owned several pairs of Uggs and love them but money is tight for me and they are outside my budget now. These are a good option.Pros: first, cost is amazing compared to Uggs. Second, the shearling is high quality and the suede looks and feels good, not overly scraped or thin at all. Very high quality inside and out. Third, the grey color looks great, a nice even dark grey color. Last, the fit is great. Some Ugg alternatives are too low over the arch, which makes them too tight and hard to get on and off. These don’t have that problem at all. The fit it roomy and comfortable without slipping.Cons: first, you need to size up 1/2 to 1 size. I wear an 8 in Uggs. Amazon recommended an 8.5 based on my history and how these fit others. After reading the reviews I decided to get a 9 and I’m glad I did. Second, there’s no loop on the back seam where can slide in a finger to tug them on. The fit is good so it isn’t that difficult to pull them on, but that is the sort of detail Uggs offers that these don’t. Third, the shearling I solve isn’t removable so you can’t replace it, something else the higher priced Uggs offers. Last, the sole doesn’t seem to flex as much, and it’s more rigid. It doesn’t bend much at the ball of the foot when I push off.I think all the cons are manageable given the price difference. I just wish the color range was broader.
Order a size larger than usual. They run small.
Very happy with these slipper boots. Keep my feet warm in very cold climate on a slab with tiles in two rooms. Very tight fit at first but am wearing them down to a comfortable fit. Wish the design had more rise and width in the toe box. Some reported stiff soles but these are a little flexible, just not as much as a regular slipper with thinner rubber sole. I would not wear these outdoors. If you want to wear with socks, definitely size up because they fit very snugly. Got mine with a small discount so even happier.
Light weight and warm
I’m so disappointed in these Dearfoam Fireside booties. I own a pair of fireside slippers and I love them because they are one of the most comfortable, well-made “slippers” that I have tried in the past three years. However, the shearling in these black booties turned my feet and my pajamas black after only one hour of wear. The foot bed was also not as comfortable as the slippers that I have owned for almost 2 years. Very upset that I must return them as I was looking for a new, less expensive alternative to UGGs.
