My New Favorite Walking Sandals!
These are the most comfortable walking sandals I've found in years of looking. My feet are very messed up from injuries, but these sandals have everything I need to pound the pavement happily for miles: great cushioning under the ball of the foot, excellent arch support and stability, adjustability for a wide forefoot and a narrow heel--plus they're feather light. My only quibble is that the cross-straps stick out a bit on the big-toe side and I was worried they might catch on each other and trip me up, but I've walked about 20 miles in them so far with no problem at all, so this has receded to a minor esthetic issue. I like that I can slip them on and off because the heel strap stretches a bit, but that even with my AAAA heels they're still snug enough to stay put and don't chafe. I followed the FitFlops online measuring guide to figure out my size and that worked well for me (I turned out to wear my usual size in this brand). These sandals are a godsend and have made me an instant FitFlops fan! I only wish they came in bronze or coral (FitFlops, are you listening?).
