Great wide shoe

Perfect wide shoe for my wide foot and the strap is positioned well to not impact the ankle. Tread is nonexistent, not sure how that will work yet!

Falling apart after 9 months of moderate use

Purchased these shoes in March 2022. The fit is a bit weird. I have wide feet and there is still plenty of room in the toe box. I also had to go a full size down compared to my road shoes and specialized recon. Otherwise the shoes are comfortable and the sole is very firm, which is good. I prefer clipless, but sometimes ride on very rocky terrain where having a flat bottom is beneficial for occasional walk. All in all, I use it on average maybe once per week at most. I was surprised to see that the bottom part was already starting to separate. I was expecting a better quality and longer life span from a $190 pair of MTB shoes.

Fits

A little narrow for a wide foot. Otherwise fits great and looks great.I'm a size 7.5/8

Size down

Sized down 1/2 size. I'm usually an 8 wide. I ordered the 8 and exchanged for the 7.5. Having a shoe too big was actually kind of dangerous on a bikepack in the sand, I had trouble getting out of my pedals and crashed a few times. The smaller size is more secure and the ankle is more comfortable. At first I was worried that my big toe was touching the padding at the front, but the padding packs out a bit after a couple wears to fit to your foot.
