The Fizik Unisex-Adult Tempo Overcurve R5 is a road cycling shoe designed to meet the needs of every rider and adapt to various rides. It promises not only an appealing aesthetic but also versatile performance, ensuring that each cycling outing is enjoyable. The shoe’s design embodies classic road shoe characteristics while incorporating Fizik's unique identity and smart form-fitting construction.

A standout feature is its Overcurve construction, which includes a staggered collar that wraps around your ankle, aligning with the natural misalignment of the ankle’s bony protrusions. This leads to an asymmetrical shape that provides comfort and support as it curves over your foot. Furthermore, the shoe features a fast and secure closure system powered by a micro-adjustable boa IP1 dial paired with a Velcro strap, allowing for a precise fit, particularly in the forefoot area.

The R5 nylon composite outsole is another highlight, offering a balance between suppleness and comfort without sacrificing pedaling efficiency, making it suitable for long rides.

  • Quick-fit design for versatility across different cycling scenarios.
  • Asymmetrical shape that enhances foot fit and comfort.

Great entry level cycling shoes perfect size

Great entry level road shoes.I was a little skeptical at first because they felt a little tight. I wear 9.5 shoes and my feet is on the wide sidei used regular socks and walked around the carpet to stretch them and the next day i went for my first ride with proper cycling socks and didn't have any pain or discomfort

Perfect fit!

Got mine in a 9.5. I have a D width foot, and it fits perfectly! I really like the comfort of the shoes. And they are super easy to get on and off. Love them!

smaller than what I expected

Very nice shoes with a great price. Unfortunately, just too small, especially in the toe box. The heel was a little loose, but I"m afraid if I tried the 43 cm shoe, it would be really loose.

A bit uncomfortable

They're good quality, but uncomfortable for me. The BOA dial puts quite a bit of pressure on the top of your foot, which becomes irritating after +/-20 miles. I've tried a size up and a size down, the shoe doesn't seem to fit snugly unless I crank the closures, causing pain. I went back to my Giro shoes quickly. Right now, I just keep them for winter shoes when I can double up on socks. Disappointing I guess.

Big upgrade in comparison to using toe cages.

I have an old carbon frame. When components wear out I replace them with current ones. My old pedals and toe cages were making my feet sore and cramp on my longer rides of around 6 hours. Since these are completely rigid shoes, I figured this would help my foot cramping problem. It did. My feet feel just fine after rides now. The shoes are less comfortable in general, but that makes sense considering the nature of their stuff construction. There is padding at the rear of the heel, but that’s about it. I image most cycling shoes feel similar to these or worse. After using these on just one ride it was immediately noticeable how much more efficient they are compared to flat pedals and regular shoes. More power, more control, and more comfort. I am extremely happy that I made the switch to these. Plus bunny hops are so easy now. After getting used to clipping in and unclipping, I am more confident and in control of my bike. Beautiful.
