Very cushy and versatile boot
Excellent boot, especially for the price paid (got it on sale). They seem to be very cushy and comfortable (love the cushioning of Florsheim's Ortholite insole). The width in 9.5M is adequate for thicker socks. I was nervous to buy a boot in a 9.5M since that is the recipient's dress shoe size in Florsheim shoes, versus the size 10M or 10.5M we generally buy in Nike or Adidas sneakers. His foot is borderline wide and a little meaty on the instep, and sometimes boots are better a half size bigger, so I thought maybe I should buy a 10M in a boot. However, the recipient insists that there is adequate toe room at the end of the boot in 9.5M. It remains to be seen how accurate his assessment of the fit was. There was about a thumb width or so there from his toes to the end of the boot. (Please take that anecdote with a grain of salt since I would hate to steer anyone to the wrong size for them and waste their money.) The color is a nice medium to darker brown oiled leather that matches well with lots of items of clothing and goes great with dark denim. The sole seems like it would give good traction. We cannot comment on the durability accurately yet as they have only been worn once thus far (which was surprising considering how long it takes for some items to be used by the wearer), but they seem like they will hold up well with use.

Inexpensive chukka boot for light duty use
Relatively inexpensive Chukka style boot. Soft leather upper, a bit thin and wrinkly, I wonder if it is patent leather? Comfortable, with a lot of interior volume. I think putting an aftermarket footpad in it would work realy well, it has the extra volume for that. Runs slightly large. It should work well as a walker, or a light duty hiking boot, although the upper may not stand up too well to abuse (abrasion).
