Shoes very nice & comfortable
Very surprised by these shoes, these are definitely not the 'water shoes' I'm used to buying for 5 dollars out of the Dollar Tree bin that get thrown in the trash after a day at the beach. These are genuinely SHOES, right? Anyway my impressions:Pros:* The manufacturing quality is excellent. The materials are thick, yet the shoe itself is still very light. No manufacturing defects (loose threads, etc) found.* The fit. I wear a 12, I ordered a 12. It fit perfectly. Now the shoe itself is rather narrow, but not massively so. It's a barefoot shoe after all, it isn't designed to be worn with thick cotton socks. The fit is snug, but I actually WANT it to be snug. For me, this is a huge positive: I do not want a loose shoe when in the water fly fishing, just makes slipping more likely.* Functionality is awesome, the shoe is comfortable to walk in even outside of the water. Walking through water, though, is where the shoe shines: the water just runs right through the shoe, and out of the bottom through the sole (the sole of the shoe itself has water "channels" that the water runs into and out the sides of the shoe). Great design.* It's ALMOST (but not quite) a zero drop/barefoot shoe. You can still DO a heel strike, but you are basically going to strike midfoot whether you want to do so or not unless you put some effort into it. Again: for me, feature not a bug. I wouldn't want to run a marathon in them*...but I did jog in them for about a mile on the trail to the river, and they were comfortable enough. *I never want to run a marathon again, it's officially checked OFF my bucket list. Unrelated, but if running a marathon is on YOUR bucket list, clear it off before you turn 50. It'll make it easier.*The look of the shoe in general, I just like it. Particularly the light gray w/ orange accents. Just looks cool, IMOCons:* The clip on the laces that you use to tighten it? Yeah, that thing doesnt work. Walk 5 feet in them and it will loosen back to the beginning.* The insoles. Not the most comfortable, but I've never worn a pair of water shoes where they were. My main beef with these insoles is that little piece of the heel that comes out. Are you supposed to leave it in? Are you supposed to remove it? Well, if you are supposed to leave it in why does it not stay in place? If you are supposed to remove it, it's not comfortable. Love the shoes themselves but now I'm hunting for different insoles.* The price: the shoes themselves, quality wise, are 100.00 shoes. Do I need 100.00 water shoes, though? If you DO need some high quality water shoes, these fit the bill. If you dont? Buy the 5 dollar shoes and throw them away after you wear them once.
I got these for my son for when we go to the lake when we go fishing. With the Texas heat, he tends to get in the water to cool down. But I'm always afraid that he is going to cut his foot, as you never know what's at the bottom of the water. He like that they drain really fast and that he manages to maintain good traction when wet. I ordered them so that they fit a little long, but he says they are comfortable. The color goes good with most clothes. So far I think he is happy with them.
Fits true to size, very comfortable and light weight. Used these for canoeing and they are very durable. Easy to pack in with my camping gear and a great price for the quality.
These are extremely comfortable, great for walking, hiking and even casual wear. They do fit true to size and are not too narrow. They have a very neat look to them making them great to wear for all sorts of usage. They do not retain water, making them great for hiking and adventures as they can go through the water with ease while letting the water drain out and drying fairly quickly as well. They are very lightweight making them perfect for packing, carrying along and traveling as well as easy to walk in as they do not weigh your feet down. Great quality materials all the way around, they are very well made, are durable and hold up perfectly to multiple uses and rough terrain. The soles are just as impressive as the upper fabric as well allowing comfort while walking. Great value for the money!
These shoes have been great! I work for a pool company and I needed shoes that could get wet all the time and these have worked so much better than any other water shoes that I have. They actually have some grip to the bottom of them so they aren't very slippery and they have held up surprisingly well especially after being exposed to chemicals all day long. They are very comfortable to wear all day even after they get wet. They dry fairly quickly. Definitely worth it! Very happy with these! (Female usually wear size 9)
