Legitimately good max cushion running shoe

I'm comparing these to my Nike Vomero 18s because of how similar they are.The "FLYPP" (plz rename them) is about the same height, but significantly lighter than the Nike Vomero. Side by side, the FLYPP is a lot more comfortable in terms of fit. I've always found Nikes run small for their size, and the FLYPP seems to run slightly large with a bit more length than a standard 9.5 mens and a much wider toe box than the Nikes. If you need a wide toe box, these are great and give your toes plenty of space. The FLYPP also has a lot more room for foot height than the Nike Vomero, which is great if you want to use a custom orthotic insert, but the arrangement of the laces still allows you to close the shoe tightly to your foot if you wish.In terms of cushioning, the FLYPP is slightly less pillow-y than the Vomero but still feels just as great when running. You really get the sense that impact is being reduced compared to normal athletic shoes. However, my one criticism of the FLYPP comes from the fact that there is noticeably no energy return like there is with the Vomero. The Vomero has a little bit of "bounce" to it that makes your feet feel propelled forward when you walk or run. Not as much as a Vaporfly that feels like it's throwing your feet forward of course, but the Vomero has a bit of movement. The FLYPP has none. Great energy absorbing and protection for your feet, but it's not making you faster. The FLYPP is not a race day shoe, but it is still great as a recovery shoe.My last criticism is that the material of the FLYPP is surprisingly thick and warms up quite a bit when you're running. I'd prefer if they reduced the material thickness to make them breathe better. That's a highly personal thing though, and I imagine that most people would be fine with it.Overall, I am blown away by the quality and performance of these shoes. They have 90% of the performance of Nike Vomero 18s at almost 1/3rd the price. If you want a comfort shoe for walking or recovery runs, I highly recommend these.

Really nice shoes. SUPER soft insole.

My wife LOVES these. She was just saying the other day that she wishes she got some actual shoes to do chores in, rather than just using her old shoes for chores. So I got her these. The problem: they're so nice she doesn't know if she wants to use them for chores. No, they're no "night on the town" pair of shoes, but they look great with the right outfit and are overall very nice shoes for a brand neither of us have hear of before now. When they arrived, unable to fit them on my feet, I was able to notice the high build quality, aggressive tread on the soles, and extremely soft insole. My wife confirmed all of this to me when she Cinderella'd them on her feet for me. Her immediate reaction was "Wow, these are soft. They are even softer than my (insert expensive name-brand shoe here known for their super tall soles), and the tread is grippier than my (insert expensive name-brand hiking shoe brand here). She did say that the inside texture was a bit unusual, having little mounds all the way down the foot on the inside, but she said they still felt comfortable and had no issues with them. She just noted it because she had never felt it before. The other thing she noted was how wide the shoes were. While she said they fit as advertised, they were wide. This was MY fault: I ordered them not knowing what "wide to box zero drop" meant in the description. I still don't know what the rest of the words mean after "wide," but I should have realized that beforehand. But she doesn't care. She loves them.I said earlier that neither of us knew this brand beforehand. If they build shoes this nice, regardless of their price point (which I feel is low), we will all know this brand soon enough.

Good for walking, likely not for running

To begin, the shoes have a true to size fit and I did find the toe box to be wide enough to be comfortable. They are incredibly lightweight. The upper material feels like a breathable material but in bright sunshine, I cannot detect any light coming through so I'm not sure how that will prove out with use. The midsole is very shock absorbing and visually compresses with hand pressure. It is a lightweight, spongy, material that feels and looks like styrofoam so, again, I'm wondering how it will hold up with use. The outsole is rugged in appearance and looks like the kind of sole I want on my trail walking shoes though it may not be the best if you want these for running. It is quite firm and creates a rather loud sound when walking on a wood floor. The shoes appear to be assembled well with neat stitching and no superfluous glue leaking out from the seams. Arch support feels dependent on the midsole since I cannot detect any shank in place so how good it is will likely be dependent upon how much the midsole compresses over time. The shoes come in a plastic bag and need to be aired out for a while since they have quite a strong and unpleasant aroma at first. Given the price of shoes these days, I'd say the price point is about right for these but I would not expect long term, heavy use from them.

Lightweight and comfortable for walking.

These shoes made a very good impression on me because they feel lightweight yet firm, with a design that gives good support for walking. The outer material has a silver finish that looks modern and pairs easily with both sportswear and casual outfits, and it is soft to the touch and feels flexible. The sole seemed very good to me because it has a firm grip that helps you walk safely on uneven surfaces and prevents slipping. It is also well cushioned, so each step feels soft and stable, something you appreciate when wearing them for several hours. The inside has a soft lining that wraps the foot comfortably and gives a pleasant feeling. What I liked most is that they are wide, so they do not squeeze and give enough space for the foot to feel free but supported at the same time. Overall they feel well made, with materials that look high quality and a combination of comfort and lightness that makes you want to wear them for outdoor walks, training or simply running errands.
