Great Detachable Slouch Boot
This are excellent slouchy boots. The sole is a very thick, firm, inflexible and hard rubber material. The outside of the boot is made of thick and smooth faux leather, and the “slouch” flap attaches to the boot with metal snap buttons. The flap is removable, giving the boot a different look when it’s taken off— though the metal buckle clips are still on the boots. The inside is a cushioned fabric, and the sole is smooth, with soft padding.I typically wear a size 6-6.5 in shoes, and I got these in a 6.5. They fit true to size and give me a lot of wiggle room in the toe area. I could’ve went with a 6, so I would recommend getting your regular size (unless you have a wide foot). The heel adds about 1.5 - 2 inches to my height, and the bottom of the boot has decent traction. These are extremely comfortable to wear and walk in. I have a slightly wider/flat foot and don’t find these to be narrow or feel that they’re squeezing my feet at all. I’m 4’11” and they come about an inch below my knee.I love these! They’re durable, nicely constructed, and have an edgy look. They have a slimmer look than some other boots in slouchy styles, which I personally love. 10/10!

Warm, comfortable tall boots with questionable style
One of my favorite things about the arrival of cold weather, and one of the few aspects of that time of year that I look forward to, is being able to finally pull my tall boots out from the back of my closet to begin wearing them again. They provide unmatched value as a cold weather accessory; not only do they add a substantial layer of warmth to legs and feet, but there is little else that can give a winter ensemble quite the same level of polish. When I first found this pair of fold over slouchy mid calf boots, I genuinely wasn’t sure how I felt about their style, but given how expensive tall boots generally are, I was happy to try a more affordably priced pair. So I ordered this pair in a size 9.To be completely honest, I’m still not sure how I feel about these boots. They have such an odd style that I just can’t get past. They fit true to size, and feel fairly comfortable. Typically, this is not even close to the style of boots I would wear. They have a very chunky sole and heel, and give off a heavy, clunky look. Their thick soles do offer some benefit; they feel secure to walk around wearing, especially when there’s snow or ice underfoot. The thick, rubber treading supplies a nice amount of traction and stability.In terms of comfort, these boots feel great. On the inside, each boot has a plush layer of fabric that lines the entire interior. The lining, combined with the outer material, delivers an impressive amount of warmth, even on the most bitterly cold days. The boot shafts are wide enough to accommodate larger calves, and also have a small triangle cut at the very top and filled with elastic to give a bit more stretch, if necessary. These boots have a chunky rubber heel that is about two inches high, but they are balanced by a platform in front, also made of rubber, with the same tread and design as the heels. The boot platforms and heels are very shock absorbing, while also being highly supportive, albeit a bit heavy after having been worn for a while.When it comes to comfort and function, this pair of boots exceeds my expectations. However, I can’t say the same about style. The only positive attribute that I can find about their design is that the extremely heavy, clunky soles, along with the voluminous and awkward extra layer of material covering the entirety of both shafts, makes my legs look slightly slimmer in contrast. I just can’t get behind that unnecessary, slouchy layer of material that snaps onto each shaft. There are five silver snaps along both sides on each boot to hold it in place, or to remove it. With the material removed, they look strange with the bottom snaps being visible. When I asked him his opinion out of curiosity, my son said he liked them, but I’m not convinced.We have now reached peak boot season, and every pair of tall boots that I own currently maintains prime real estate in my closet, except this pair; it is hidden and has been tucked all the way in the back. Their style, or lack thereof, is just not for me. Nevertheless, they are quite comfortable and warm and seem to be well made considering their price point. I didn’t experience any issues with the materials or their construction. On top of that, these boots are unbelievably affordable, especially for tall boots. Although, I only wore them a couple times to test them, so I can’t speak to how they will wear long term. The photos presented on their product page are very accurate to their in person appearance. Overall, if this is a style you see and truly like, they are definitely worth a try.

These boots with the folds and snaps are unlike anything I have ever seen before. Nobody else in town has this style yet, I am the first. Many women have complimented me when I wear these boots, they fit my wide foot well and I love them.

Interesting design
I wouldn't classify these as everyday style boots. They're quite peculiar and are ideal for a particular style or look.The material feels like soft leather and there's no closure system like zippers or laces. They slip on from the top. I don't recommend for people with wide calves.They will cover the shins and can be worn over pants. The ruffled fabric patch buttons up in front and can be removed. The shoes feel elevated like platforms, I feel taller wearing them. I wasn't sure about how these run, I went with a size about 1/2 point larger than usual. They are comfortable with socks.I appreciate the option of removing the patch in the front for variable looks. Overall I wanted to try something outside my comfort zone for a new look and these do the trick.
