Absolutely love these, I have a wide forefoot and they definitely need some wearing in (still do), but still much more comfortable than my 5-tens on that troublesome pinky MTP joint. LOVE LOVE LOVE the double boas for dialing in (see what I did there) the right tension across the instep vs across the metatarsals.
I am a weekend biker. Certainly not an expert. I love these flat pedal shoes. The sole grips very well and your feet stay planted. The BOA dials work really well - you can micro adjust. They are very comfortable. As far as size, here's my 2 cents: my walking shoe is Skechers size 9 regular with socks. I ordered the Fox in size 10 and that seems to be a perfect choice. All around comfort including the toe box.
Shoe feels great, fit is perfect. Grip… not so good. Fivetens had way better grip, a noticeable difference in my opinion. I going to keep riding with these and give them a fair shot. Right out of the gate thou, my only thought while riding was, why won’t these shoes grip! It will feel like they are one second then the next your foot is slipping. It may be the compound or the sole… maybe I just need a few more rides to break them in… idk. I plan to revisit this review later and will note if my opinion changes.
Boa are cool. But soles don’t grip like FIVE Ten
