Could be better
Fox nailed the stiffness on these for people that pedal their bikes. Perfect balance between stiff and compliant for control. Very walkable. There's a few misses. The sizing is a bit long and sloppy. The design makes it hard to snug the toe box area. I found while standing on the pedals or putting down hard pedal strokes the shoes tend to shift around a lot. Perhaps the boa version helps with the issue but I would say these would be best suited to park laps, shuttle runs, or casual commutes. If you want a fairly performance oriented shoe... Probably not it. The ventilation isn't so great either. Perhaps the next version will improve on these things but I can't say they will be my everyday trail shoe.
