Beautiful boots but....made sure to read update
I've had these boots on my wish list for over a year in gray. I was confused as to what size to get based on reviews. My normal size is 7, I ordered 7.5 wide because reviews said they were narrow. I don't have a wide foot and never order wide. The 7.5 wide width was way too long. It wasn't too wide for my foot bed but very tight in my calves and I have skinny calves. So I went to a 7 wide and it was still too long in the foot bed. I went to a 6.5 wide and that fit the length of my foot and was comfortable around my toes. They were loose in the ankle and apparently had been tried on before me and had some scuffs and crinkling at the back of the ankle (still snug in the calf). I considered ordering a 6.5 regular width and go wide in the calf but decided to just return what I bought and try some other brands. They are stunning boots and I was so excited when I opened the box but sadly they just fit me weird and the heel is kind of odd shaped and feels weird with my stride. I also noticed the heels were a bit slick on wood or tile floors when walking and make a ton of noise. In regard to the calf fit, this would fit best on bare calves with a dress or thin leggings. It was hard to zip over skinny jeans.Update: These boots popped up on sale in my feed in a size 6.5 normal width and normal width for the calf. The price was around $60 so I ordered them. What a difference this normal size made for me. Granted it seems they run a half size small in the foot so size 6.5 fit me perfectly (I'm normally a 7), the calf is not made for athletic calves so anyone that needs wider needs to specifically look for these in wide calves and their normal foot size or half size down. I am thrilled they fit so well, and I have added back a star. These will be reserved for special occasions because it's such a sleek boot.
