Love these boots! They fit my smaller calves almost perfect! Love that they are leather. I just wish the black weren’t as expensive or I would buy them also. I bought the brown and did size down a half size from my usual.
I initially ordered these in my true size 7. When they arrived I was able to fit my foot in the shoe with no socks on. The shoe was very tight around the width of my foot. The back of my heel touched the back of the shoe more snuggly than I wanted. I went out on a limb and ordered a 7.5 shoe that was considered "Used very good condition" because I didn't want to give up on the boot as it's very beautiful and was the exact aesthetic I was searching for for a while!This was the right choice! I'm glad I sized up the half size and it helped in the tightness as well. I don't know if they were previously used and if that contributed to the less tight feeling, but they looked like they were in great condition. Probably just a return from someone else. I recommend this shoe but just be careful with sizing. In the previous pair I did have the zipper issue as many other people have expressed as well. But with this new pair they seem to glide better. I guess it's just a manufacturing issue. But very nice shoes and great soft leather.
I want to love them and they really look and feel nice, but I was sent two different width boots. They are supposed to be wide calf and the markings on the inside show that they are, but one is about an inch wider than the other. Very disappointed. Amazon would not replace them only issue a refund, and the price from when I placed the order went up by $60 dollars. Returning
These boots are beautiful (color matches photo; leather is soft; design is trendy and cute; no smell right out of the box), but I awarded them 3 stars (and returned them) for two reasons: 1) the zipper is impossible to zip (especially at the ankle where there is more fabric, in part because of the zipper location--if it was on the inside, there might not be so much folded leather!), and 1) the calf size does not meet wide-calf standards (i.e., width is typically measured from a size 6 and then incrementally increases in half sizes--I wear a 9, and the calf width measured the same as a size 6, listed on the site--I even checked the Franco Sarto website for clarification on this). Super disappointing because I really wanted to love these boots!
I did not receive the color I ordered (light brown), but instead received the much lighter tan color. Nevertheless, the boots are a very nice leather. The zipper is a bit tough to get up over the heel and requires you to be soft handed when zipping and unzipping, so that you do not damage the zipper itself. You also need to be conscious of material getting in the zipper. However, the boot is very cute and well-made. I have a wide calf and ordered the black in “wide calf” and the light brown in the regular width. The regular width is snug and the wide calf was just too wide for me, and I am returning and have ordered them in the regular width. For reference, I am 5’8” and wear size 8, these boots land right below my knee. The foot bed is comfortable and see these easily worn throughout a day without hurting my feet. I gave 4 stars only because I did not receive the color I ordered. Not sure if this was the fault of Amazon or manufacturer.
Perfect for me. My calves are 15” these boots are bigger but with skinny jeans it’s fine. The boots feet are indeed narrow. My feet are B and I have just enough room to wiggle my toes. I have high arches so I always juice up the insoles. I love the cotton twill lining up the sides. The back zipper is a little tricky. I put my finger inside to keep the zipper flap down and they zip up nicely. I’m 5’10” and the boots come up to my knee bone. Very comfortable. I wore them straight out of the box. Durable leather. Thick lining.
Very comfy. No problem even standing on your feet for 8 hours on hard floor. True to the size. Love them.
