Good Waders: Fit Info

Nice waders for the price (and I have had several brands in past). Re sizing: I am 6', 190 lbs, 36" waist, 32" inseam, 44" chest . Medium size fit me snugly but perfectly - great for walking to water or wade-fishing. I exchanged for Large size though because I use mostly for fishing in float tube and like the extra roominess in knees and bottom for sitting .

Fast delivery, comfortable, waterproof.

Bought this pair of FROGG TOGGS Canyon II Breathable Waterproof Stockingfoot Fishing Chest Wader because my trusty old set of neoprine waders finaly wore out after 20 years. These arrived the morning after I ordered them, which was great because I was fishing that afternoon. They arrived new in box and at first I was a little put off by the thinness of the material. I was late fall/winter river fishing in Washington state - and the water was chilly. To my surprise, just having a pair of thermal leggings and jeans was plenty to keep me warm and no water got in. They attach to boot laces to help with gravel and muck in the ankle and they dried out really fast (compared to neoprine). Anyway, I really like them. I'll update this 5 star review if they aren't durable in the coming months.

Good waders for the price

The price is right. They leak after about 10 times. But I’ve been thru many. And they all leak at some point. I’ll buy again

Great waders that don't break the bank

Great waders, the sizes are pretty darn accurate and they are comfortable to wear. They are a little baggy but the allow for more movement and prevent you from accidentally ripping the seams when you fall. Don't spend 200 on the competitors, these are great and look great. Got compliments first day wearing out on the river. The only cons I can see are the clips that hold up the waders are a soft plastic that doesn't feel very durable. If they do break I'm not sure of the repair process but the clips can be replaced with sturdy aluminum ones when that day comes. Stayed dried for hours of standing in the water. Only got wet when I slipped and fell in. Seriously get these.

Perfect for a novice like me!

I'm no master / expert fisherman. So when I was invited to go salmon fishing in some river(s) for the first time in my life I did not want to spend a ton of money. Doing a little research and inquiring of those that have been salmon fishing I opted for this set up. I went salmon fishing, at a couple different rivers, over a four day period. My nephew dragged me across hill and dell, crashing through PNW shrubberies (which can be pretty thick and cumbersome if you know the PNW), to get to some of these spots. I was quite concerned about getting micro, or macro for the matter, tears in this suit. It did not happen (thank goodness)! My body was kept completely dry wearing this outfit while in the water. During those times of medium to high water pressure forced upon my legs and hips by the moving water I felt comfortable and did not feel as if any excess materials were trying to drag me. After four days of fishing, for hours on end, and walking who knows how many miles overall this product survived the trip! I plan to use them again, or at least until the lining is breached I suppose (if that ever happens). If you are novice like me and plan to do this on a few outings I say they are perfect! If you are an avid fisherman/woman and plan to abuse the heck out of them for months at a time and on end - I can't provide any opinions as the long term durability of these waders. Maybe I'll give an update after next season (if the wife lets me travel there hahaha). My only recommendation to those novice / first timers needing a pair of waders is make sure you purchase some related shoes / boots to wear over top of the "sock" portion. Anywhere you have to walk on river rock, or hikes through shrubberies, will destroy your hush puppies and spoil your adventure. My nephew had an extra pair, so that helped me survive. Good luck and have fun!

Leaks After Light Use, No Warranty Support

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought the FROGG TOGGS Canyon II Wader because it seemed lightweight, breathable, and had solid reviews. The fit was great, and it felt good during use. However, after only a few outings, I started noticing the backside area getting wet—from below the waist to above the knees—even though there are no visible holes or damage. I contacted customer support with proof of purchase and details, but haven’t received any reply. I expected better support, especially for a product with a warranty. The lack of response is really disappointing.Weight:Lightweight enough for extended fishing trips without feeling bulky.Functionality:Offered a good range of motion and seemed built for outdoor activity.Warmth:Provided decent insulation for cool river conditions without overheating.

Excellent and worth the price!

So far so good. Seems to work as good as those twice the price. Only gripe is the cheap plastic buckles . Holding up so far but prefer the old fashion style for durability.
