Decent boot for light/medium work load.

So I purchased these to work around the fish house I work at which has concrete floors mainly and then the occasional semi trailer metal floor. First impression is that they are comfortable. A little tight with thick socks but once a small “break in” or to get the rubber to stretch a bit they are decent with a pair of Dr. Scholes work compression socks. The grip is ok on dry conditions but with fish oil and fat on a surface grip is 50/50. The insoles are very thin I recommend different ones. The boot itself is mid calf but just above ankle level and up they are the neoprene foam. Only ankle down is rubber coated. The tread rubber in my opinion is thinner than desired. I have them almost worn through. But I do a lot of walking so I cannot really knock them for it. They are very lightweight for the whole boot themselves. Overall if you are looking for something that can do light to medium work load these can fill that role with the value you pay for. Is there other boots that maybe better, cheaper, or whatever sure. But I bought these and honestly I got my money’s worth from them with the work load I do. They are a solid 4/5 or 7.5/10 on quality.

Sizing is very close

I am a union car hauler. I wanted a boot that wasn't bulky and would keep my feet dry as I load/unload cars. I also needed a boot that would prevent my feet from slipping on the metal on the truck while climbing on the truck. I have been able to use them yet. I wear a size 11.5 wide, so I was very concerned about the sizing. I decided to order a 11 and a 12. I would return the size that wasn't going to fit. Both sizes are comfortable and I decided that I would keep both sizes. I can wear the 11 when I just want to keep my feet dry. I can wear the 12 if I want to add an extra pair of socks, to keep my feet warmer. But truth be told, there is not a lot of difference in the two sizes. If I do return a pair, I would return the size 11.The boot itself looks good. The tread looks like the sole of a very popular skateboard shoe that grips awesome to surfaces. It's not bulky and very light weight. I wanted a Muck boot but with a better sole and I believe that this boot meets my expectations. I will do a follow up on the functionality and performance after I get to use them on the job.The pictures above; 11 is on the left and 12 is to the right.
