I’m a Gaerne fan boy, I’ve had many pairs over the years and I finally worked my way up to the SG 22, I was not disappointed, the comfort even walking in them is not bad. They are not waterproof if you go through a stream crossing and submerge them you will need to take them off and empty out the water. The buckles are bulletproof. The stitching and construction are all bulletproof. The Italians just know how to make boots. Highly recommended.
Fits true to size. Very Comfortable and little breaking in needed. A top quality boot.
Very solid. Very stylish. Just too stiff for adventure riding. I feel like they are second to none for protection of my legs, ankles, and feet. They fit fairly well. It's just that they are so stiff that I can't shift or break, and I felt unstable standing on smooth surfaces. They feel like wearing ski boots on a motorcycle. I ultimately sent them back before I took them out on the trail. My rationale is that they would end up causing more problems than solving.
Great boots, worth every penny. If you know the brand you understand the incredibly high purchase price. If you don't know the brand, sacrifice the funds and you won't regret!
Ordered these on Tuesday; on my doorstep before noon on Thursday! Exactly what I was hoping for.
After a couple break in rides, they are more comfortable than my old ADV forma boots & far better protection! They do squeak A LOT when walking & your feet will be the first thing to get wet. I recommend buying a pair of Seal Skin socks if using in rain or lots of puddles. Pretty dang expensive, but save me from just 1 trip to the ER & they just paid for themselves!
