The Synthetic Material Does Not Last.

I have to say that these are one of my favorite pair of boots. The style is right up in my heavy metal wheelhouse HOWEVER, I have only been able to wear them about four times over the year since I purchased these. I took them out of their box off my closet shelf to wear them the other night only to find that the synthetic material bubbled, peeled and flaked while being stored. I never got them wet. I always keep them super clean and store them carefully. I have NO idea why this happened in only a year's time. If I knew of a way to do better at preserving them, I would consider replacing them with another pair but I feel like I'm just throwing my money away. I have been on a serious search to find some boots in this style made with genuine leather by ANY COMPANY and I have had no luck. I'm super disappointed in the quality of these boots. They get a high mark for style and comfort, though.
