Amazing fit. I got these in wide and man after a full 12 hours of work they broke in nicely. Priced right and from what I can tell Garmont didn't skimp on quality. So happy I dont have to spend 200 plus on boots! Considering buying a second pair if these last a while. I used to be a t8 bifida guy but man these are just too comfortable. Haven't rolled my ankles yet in these yet so I can't speak for how much support there is on the ankle but im sure they'll be good to my injury prone ankles.

Comfortable and lightweight boot.

Size 11, fits about true to size, good toe room and support. I did put in more premium insoles, personal preference and more cushy than stick. Very comfortable, almost like a running shoe. Lightweight, although I'm not sure how much abuse they will take, hoping for a couple years before soles wear out and leather gets bad. No break in needed. I Love all my Danners, but these are just more comfortable for garrison wear than my Danner Reckoning. I'm sure they'll wear well in the field too.About the only con is, they are difficult to get off! You have to losen the laces all the way down to the top of your foot, unlike my Danners. But that being said, when you put them on and pull em tight, they give very good ankle support! Oh, another sort of con, they are made in China, even though they are an Italian company. I know a lot of military boots that our troops wear are made in China or Vietnam, so nothing too shocking here. I also know Garmont does have some boot models that are advertised as T.A.A., which I believe means made in Europe. Similar to how my Danner Reckonings are Berry Compliant, which means made in USA with all USA materials.I would definitely buy them again and I'm going to get my active duty Army son a pair to see what he thinks, yes, these are AR670-1 compliant. He's a Danner wearer too!

The best option for the Army

These are the most comfortable ar complaint boots I have had, I also think they are the best Garmont options as well. I have the t8 nfs wides and they are great as well, however, their ankle support is a bit worse and the break-in takes a bit longer, and the wide in the nfs is about the width of a normal shoe. Garmont is a great company, and these are my preferred choices for my Military boots. If you need boots for winter snow, I would go with the Lowa's, otherwise, You cannot go wrong with the Garmonts. I would go with the wide option, and also get darn tough socks, they will save you from a lot of issues.
