I am absolutely in love with my boots, the comfort is unmatched! They are light weight and very appeasing for a lady in uniform it’s like the perfect fit and it gives feminine! The quality is absolutely amazing …As the song says I’m walking on sunshine and it feels good …
Still heavy to wear
I loved the look of these, but I ordered my normal size, 8.5 women's, but they were super narrow and too snug in general. I have slightly wider feet, so I think men's boots are a better fit for me. Just something to keep in mind!
This is the second pair I’ve bought and I love them. They’re significantly more comfortable than any other “unisex” boot I’ve worn.
The only problem with the boot is that the pull tab on the back is significantly smaller than their other boots which I think is an oversight. It makes it way more difficult to pull on quickly. Boot is very comfortable and light weight.
These are the best Army boots I’ve ever owned. They are like a supportive sneaker right out of the box. Unlike the Reebok, these are not clunky or bulky. They have a very slight heel lift to support a woman’s shorter Achilles tendon, so I’ve never had heel pain. I’m on my second pair not because they wore out, but because my dog chewed the pull tab on the back and I wanted a “nice” pair and a field pair.
Deeply disappointed in the quality of design; “women’s” seems to mean inferior product to Garmont.*I did not test these on more than my carpet, because it was obvious these would not be worth the money*Photos included to show the comparison between Athena & NFSPROs:>women’s specific last felt GREAT>the sizing was trueCONs:>tread is wide lugs that don’t seem grippy for wet conditions>no drain holes for water/moisture>tongue is not stitched well like the T8 tongue and it’s too short, doesn’t come up high enough>top grommets are near top of boot, so you can’t run the laces around and then tie them without fear of them coming up on to your leg>no extra grommet at the ankle flexion point- this is a great feature on the flagship NFS & bifida styles>the toe guard is thin and minimal, I would not like to kick things in this boot>elevated rear heel “for women’s shorter Achilles tendon” (idk about you but I do NOT want a raised heel on my boots!) I have never experienced an Achilles issue in the NFS, this feels like a “selling point” for Garmont, but I’m entirely unimpressed. Show me data that women are rupturing Achilles tendons from their boots. I have never heard of this issue they are fixing for us.>the portion that covers ankle and lower leg area is much thicker than the NFS, so it’s uncomfortable and it doesn’t mold to your leg like the NFS material does.>excessively rounded toe is just odd and useless. Prefer the NFS profile. They add a “climbing surface” yet round the toe out.. that’s not how climbing shoes work. In fact, it’s the opposite.>the quality is just NOT there in comparison to the flagship modelsMy opinion: they’ve taken everything that made a Garmont boot the best tactical boot out there and done away with it while adding nonsense features that I highly doubt any military women wanted. I will stick with the NFS.
