These Mary Jane ballerina flats have quickly become a favorite for my toddler, especially for her weekly ballet classes. Adorable… but the sizing is WILD
I ordered these for my 10-year-old who normally wears a Big Kids 2, so that’s the size I ordered. A size 2 usually fits her with a little wiggle room (no toe cramping, room to grow, etc.). Not with these. These run extremely small — like two sizes small.She couldn’t even get her toes into the front properly, and they were definitely not long enough. Honestly, the “2” felt closer to a 12 than a 2. If you’re ordering these, size up at least two sizes. They also run pretty narrow, so keep that in mind too (thankfully my daughter has a petite, narrower foot).Now the reason I’m still giving them 4 stars: they’re really cute and actually well made. They have that nostalgic “old school jelly shoe” vibe (hello 80s), but these are fabric/mesh instead of plastic. The mesh is layered so you get that classic jelly look, but with a softer feel.I also love the Velcro strap across the top — my daughter still fumbles with buckles sometimes, and this makes it quick and easy. The Velcro is strong and doesn’t feel like the type that’s going to get fuzzy and stop sticking after a few wears. The little bow detail is super cute too, and it’s attached well — it doesn’t look like it’s going to pop off.Overall: great shoe, great quality, super cute… but the sizing is a mess. I’m taking off one star for that, but I am re-ordering in a larger size because she loved them.

Too small
These are not true to size nor are they wide foot friendly. My daughter wears a 4 and they were like 2 sizes too small. Sadly we cannot use these. There’s Velcro on the siding for easy accommodations. The black color matches with every outfit. They are great quality material wise, and nice attention to detail. The bow on the front is adorable. They came in as how box which would be good for future storing. This is good value for the money if they can correct the sizing.
