Ridiculous! You may find a similar item for less than $20 at your local Walmart. These shoes look nothing like the ones pictured. These shoes are *not* made of leather. They are made of plastic. They are so cheaply made that they arrived in a clear plastic bag rather than in a box.
This is a very nice sandal, comfortable and easy to wear. It loses one star because it makes my foot look like it got run through a pasta machine. Lol you could easily order half a size down and still have it be slightly long.Putting it on was a little difficult as the straps do not quite come to a point but are more bluntly cut, so you don’t have a very large corner to pull through the buckle. Putting sandals on is usually difficult anyway because your foot is at an odd angle, so if the strap shape had been slightly more pointed, like the end of a bow ribbon, I think it would’ve been easier to do.Once on the sandal is surprisingly comfortable, even though it has a very thin sole. There really isn’t any padding to speak of, but that’s kind of obvious from the pictures. It has just enough tread on the bottom of the sandal to prevent slipping, and even though the inside of the sandal is very smooth, due to the heel and the ankle strap, your foot really doesn’t shift too much.There was some slight blemishing, dark spots on the white of the side of the soul, and despite using several different cleaning methods, I was unable to remove them. Obviously you’re not going to see them unless you’re very close up, so I don’t think it takes away from the overall aesthetics of the shoe, but it is worth mentioning because it could bother some people.Now I’m a Mary Jane girl myself, so I like the rounded toe. These toes are very pointed, and kind of remind me of an expensive men’s shoe that comes to a very sharp point. I guess you could simply call it pointed toe. Some people really like this look, but I’m not one of them, so take my review with a pinch of salt. It’s just an opinion and you might not agree with it and it might be a five star for you.Overall, I’m really looking forward to wearing these sandals on vacation because I know they are comfortable and I can live with a pointed toe. I highly recommend you give them a try and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
These were advertised as Mexican LEATHER huaraches/sandals and they are plastic.
