Haven’t fallen apart despite constant abuse

Better than most budget boots these days. I’m going on 7 months of wearing these boots almost every single day. The soles have almost no tread left but yet they are still hanging on without signs of coming apart from the boot. I like that they’re screwed on and the boots themselves have withstood diesel and hydraulic oil several times. Comfortable enough that I don’t rush to get them off as soon as I get home. I would consider getting them re soled if the price was any different from buying another pair. Will be buying another pair.

Good quality and quick break-in

I'll use these boots for general chores around my homestead, including some fairly hard use when clearing out underbrush and trash trees for fire safety here in the western foothills of the Sierras in California. The first day I felt a little chafing on my outer ankle bones, but by the end of the second day they were completely comfortable. The only cluck I have is that the upper lacing hooks are stamped metal rather than the cast or machined kind. The stamped metal ones are susceptible to being crushed inward if something hard hits them directly, but unless it happens a lot the bent tab can be opened back up with pliers without breaking off. I'm tempted to order another pair just in case Georgia Boot decides to discontinue this model "to serve you better." Everything else about them seems to be good quality.UPDATE: I've had these boots for 2 1/2 years now, and have been using them regularly around the ranch for a variety of projects and daily chores. They're still in good condition, comfortable, have plenty of sole left, and I have to admit that my original cluck about the lacing hooks being stamped rather than cast type turns out to have been unfounded. All the hooks are in good condition and none have been deformed or broken. I'm still hoping Georgia Boot will maintain this quality so when I order a replacement pair sometime in the future I won't be disappointed by any cheapening of the materials or mfg. process. G.B., are you listening?

Failed initial inspection, passed during the retry

I enjoy the support of the Logger style of boot and I've never owned a pair of the Georgia's. I had these on my list and I seen they were on sale. So I saved a nice chunk and bought em.The first pair failed expectations. There was machine marks around the sole that damaged the upper leather. The kind that maybe whoever was running the boot sander that day was probably their first day. That said, I didn't even try them on. I sent them back and Amazon customer support quickly sent me another pair. Great support. The other pair came and passed. Everything was perfect...ish. for those that don't know, good boots that get welted usually get sanded around by hand at some point. I haven't seen an automated process for this to my knowledge. Anyways, there are signs where you can see some material is thicker than other spots. It's hardly noticeable, but for me it's something I appreciate because someone skilled took the time to hand craft your item and not damage it.The brass is shiny, the laces are nice, the finish on the leather is very nice and the leather is full grain. My only complaint is that they do a great job stitching the leather to the sole....but why only single stitch the upper parts like where the eyelets are, and not double stitch them for durability? At regular price point, there are other boot manufacturers that will use double stitching. That's like a gold standard. As for the break in....we all know you should ease a new boot in.....yeah I didn't. No break in needed for these because the leather is already soft. I wore them to work the next day and 13k steps later, the toe portion of the stitching started feathering. Usually I don't see this in my other brands of boots, or at least months after wearing them. Although I'm not concerned about it, it does leave me with a sense of "a little early to show a sign of wearing."Overall, it is day two and I love these boots and I'm glad I put them into my collection.

Goor work boots!

These are good boots. I am comparing them to a Red Wing model no longer sold. Fit my 4E foot well with no discomfort. I can wear these all day. Well worth the price compared to the same $300 Red Wing model.
