Excellent boots

I'm on my 3rd pair of these boots and love them! They last me between 2.5 - 3 years of daily hard use. The photo shows my last pair I had for almost 3 years. Very comfortable and excellent ankle support. The wedge soles work well for standing/walking on hard surfaces and for driving a truck and equipment. I have narrow feet and the M fits perfectly. I've worked in these boots in WY snow and AZ summers. What finally wears out for me is the soles and padding and I tend to wear through the left boot toe leather to the steel from kneeling and dragging my toe. They hold up well to moderate welding/grinding, I've burned through laces with no boot damage. I cant think of anything I'd change other than adding Kevlar laces!

Best boots for machinist

The soles stand up to chips and oil very well. This is a pair of boots that last for a year or more in even extreme conditions. If you aren't running large planers and walking in mounds of chips, these boots will probably get you along for 5 years or more! the leather is a bit on the thin side, but it's also very soft and very comfortable. I wore the leather off the toe before the sole was even close to wore out. I've never had that happen before. It took two years to do it though.

Great boots but order a half size down

Great quality and build. I would prefer a sole that wasn’t flat. Great work boots though. A little oversized for my feet though after they wear in

Longest lasting boots I've ever worn

I'll flat-out admit I am not gentle or forgiving to the boots I wear. I have done construction, and heavy factory work in these boots. All I can say is they are the most comfortable out of the box and toughest boots I have ever purchased. I basically wear boots all year, they have to work in mud, dirt, kicking metal, walking on concrete for easily 80% of my day and still be ready to do it all again the next morning. I have destroyed many an expensive pair of "work boots" and found they didn't live up to any of the qualities reviews ever left. These boots more than live up to my standards. I have had 2 pairs of Georgia work boots, the first lasted a year and a half. For me most boots were lucky to make it 5 months even if I would baby them. These have little to no break in, they have never gotten a funky boot smell , and most of all the only reason I bought a new pair was because I wore through the soles of the last pair.If you need a boot that can work as hard as you can, then for me this is them. As far as I am willing to say, so long as Georgia boots keep making this boot then this is the only one I intend to buy.

Check figment of steel toe

Steel toe on left boot protruded through and hit on top of my pinky toe. Left boot was very uncomfortable. Right boot was fine. I returned them

Most comfortable boots for rodbusters!

My husband is an ironworker, most commonly known as a "rodbuster". He's on his feet at least 8 hours a day if not more and the ground he trails on isn't always flat so a very comfortable and safe shoe is a must have "tool". My husband loves these boots, he's tried Timberlands, Red Wings, Diehards, Chippewa, and some other brands that I can't remember and every time he needs a new pair he buys these. These boots can last him up to 8-9 months then he retires them to the batch of "work around the house" shoes. These are 8 inch high boots, so they offer really good ankle support. Additionally, they are steel toe and have saved my husbands toes more times than I can count at work. These are just plain awesome, highly recommend!!!!!!!!

Not the best

Due to the shortage of boots available in my size 10W (apparently everyone wears 10W) I had to try a different brand of boots. I need safety toe boots for work and didn't want to spend 400 on a pair of boots that will only last a year. These are well made they just don't fit like my regular brand. We will see how they feel after a few months.
