this is the first pair of ballet shoes We have gotten for our daughter as she is just starting dance. I have to say they have set the bar high. The fast that they're made of genuine leather is impressive. The stretchy band on top is made well too. She has worn them a few times to practice with no complaints of comfort. We did size up as we tend to with shoes because sizes can vary so much, they fit her well with a bit of wiggle room. The price point is great compared to what the dance studio charges for shoes. We would get these again.

Exceptional quality for the price!
I was reluctant to order another pair of ballet slippers on Amazon for our granddaughter after our the disappointment in the last pair— incorrect sizing and flimsy cloth material with an unlined sole. (The manufacturer clearly took short cuts to save money.)These slippers, however, are exceptional! They’re comprised of a sturdy leather-like material that will certainly last the multiple times a week practice for the year our granddaughter will wear them. The slipper’s interior features an additional layer of sole (unlike the previous slippers I purchased) and the bottom is reinforced with two pads of a suede-like material that will prevent slipping (also unlike the previous pair). The elastic straps appear sturdy and the connecting stitches to each side of the slipper are double-reinforced.Best of all, this pair of slippers I purchased in Size 2 youth appears to be correctly sized for American customers, although it will likely be a year or two before our granddaughter wears them.I ordered the previous unsatisfactory pair in Size 1 (as our granddaughter was in the verge of outgrowing her child’s Size 13,) but she couldn’t get it in her foot— too small. (For that reason, I sized up when I purchased these.)This pair, however, may be too large at the present time, but our granddaughter will eventually grow into them. The quality for the price is too good to return at the risk I won’t find a pair this well-made in Size 2 again. I’m tucking these away and ordering another pair in Size 1.Happy customer here!
