Sturdy and comfortable for touring
I've now used these shoes when riding about 1,000 miles with flat pedals. I tour in urban to rural areas so I need to get on/off the bike quickly so I don't use clips. The sole is stiff so my foot stays comfortable and I don't get cramps. The toe bed is wide, thus my toes/entire foot is comfortable at the end of the day. They look big on my feet, but oh well, I'm not too concerned about a fashion statement after riding 40-70 miles in a day.

Almost Perfect
These shoes grip well on my mountain bike spiked pedals. They provide a good arch support and overall foot support while riding. They do not easily bend like regular outdoor shoes. The toe box is roomy and they are comfortable enough for short hikes but not on hills as the soles have no lugs to grip sandy or mud. The upper suede material brushes off easily. The tongue does not stay centered and shifts to the side but the laces do not dig into the top of the foot. I am glad I bought this brand and this model shoe.

Perfect
I had a different pair of Giro shoes that were way too stiff.These however are just right.I got a half size up to give room for a more supportive footbed. I have problems with my right foot with pain and numbness, but so far so good.Like the color, too.
