Super comfortable and stylish

These are some excellent bike shoes! Bought as a more stylish and more performant SPD shoe than some clunkier ones I was using, but it turns out they're also just as comfortable while weighing less, being more stiff, and looking more dope! I was worried about the classic laces originally, but after several rides it doesn't bother me at all, they stay pretty tight and the aesthetics are super nice.A bonus feature is they're less clicky/grindy when walking than most SPD shoes. Not totally silent, there are still occasional noises on some surfaces, but less than any of the 4 other pairs of SPD shoes I've had experience with though.I didn't like the insoles they came with so I swapped them for broken-in insoles from another pair of shoes. The original ones might be fine after breaking in though.

Perfect for their intended use

Size up 1/2 size from giro fit chart. They run narrow/smaller toe box so if u have fat/wide feet prob not the best option. Soles nice and stiff to put power down. Spd engagement/disengagement flawless. Light, breathable, and stylish. Tread tall enough to not clank around on the metal spd cleats too bad which is nice touch. I use 3 times a week or so...10mi runs...15mph average at lical park for exercise and i live them. Maybe better competition oriented gravel racers out there if thats your thing but i think perfect.

Great Bike Shoe for Troll Feet.

I'm the victim of inheriting some big, wide, odd-shaped feet with a bunion and cramped toes on the right foot. Biking for many years but never really found the right clipless bike shoe & resorted to toe cages & sneakers, which I dislike. If you are in my camp, these shoes could be your ticket, as well.I'm a 13.5-14, EE width, clod-hopper, depending on brand and need room or flex on the right bunion area. Figured I give this new type knit shoe a shot. Well the 48's couldn't fit more perfect. Plenty of toe room on top & at the tips so they wiggle freely. Knit has the room and the give I need on my right bunion. (Note the bunion bulge in the photo) Big plus is full laces, which allows looser at toe and tighter at the ankle.Looks like over time this knit will take on the exact weird shape of my foot. They walk around and clip in comfortablly. Knit is new to me but so happy I pulled the trigger on these Giro Republics.Going to buy a backup pair or two, as often when the bike shoe gods smile at you the manufacturer discontinues.

Very comfortable Biking shoes

Like another reviewer, my feet have had a hard existence. Left foot has had 3 broken bones, right only one. It is hard for me to find a comfortable shoe, much less a biking shoe. But, these are very comfortable. The upper is breathable and conform to your foot. Better for hot, warm temperatures -- the ventilation is great. Using with Shimano PD-M520L MTB pedals on a road bike.

really great city, long weekend, hard workout shoe

really great shoe! not narrow for a normal foot. if you buy wide shoes then buy wide bike shoes. you can see thru the mesh, thats how airy they are. the inside is swede and breaks in very nice. i wore 2 pairs of wet sox the first 2 rides to break them in and just sweat after that, about 150 miles and they disappear from your feet. there is a strap on the tounge for the lace loops, but tucking in is just as comfy. if ur on the the fence, get them and ull be happy, true to size btw. im always an 11.5, got a 46, perf.

Most comfortable cycling shoes I ever owned

Best cycling shoe for the price. Stiff sole with good grip. More comfortable then my 500 dollar Sidi shoes. Good ventilation but wouldn’t recommend for cold weather riding. A definite buy for the price.
