Very good quality footwear
This company makes excellent foot wear. At any price it’s hard to find full-grain leather boots or shoes made with such quality. These folks, are the real deal. People who say these are too stiff are probably used to wearing sports shoes or inferior leather that is soft to begin with but wears poorly because it is thin. Real full-grain leather takes time to break in but will last longer, wear better, protect better, and takes conditioning beautifully. It will develop a patina that you can be proud of many years after your other shoes have given up. Please do your research on the differences between full-grain, top-grain, grain corrected, genuine leather, bonded, patent, etc… Most shoes these days, even in some higher end stores will sell you poor quality leather, terrible stitching with plastic lining, or worse all man-made “leather” for ridiculous prices. As it says in the description, and as verified by many Golden Fox customers, please follow the 1/2 size smaller than normal recommendation. I normally wear about a 9.5 although with some sports shoes it can be 10 or even 10.5. But on a Brannock device I am an even 9.5 so I ordered a 9 and the fit is perfect. I hope that helps you to figure out your size. My feet run a little wide too, not 2EE but I can’t wear Nikes for instance and these are a great fit. The moc toe style allows a little more wiggle room anyway.Although I found them comfortable straight out of the box there is room for my Powerstep orthotic inserts as well (sized 9-9.5). I like the liner material they use too. Taibrelle is one of the few man made materials that is pleasant on my feet. It’s quite comfortable, breathable, and certainly eases some of the break in time. The white stitching and black along the toe is a pretty nice touch, as is the welt. It’s blended so nicely I really had to look closely to even find the break. They look pretty sharp with some different laces as well (36”). I don’t know what else to say except that these are truly great casual oxfords. Oh, and you can’t really beat this price.

Great Quality Moc For a Great Price!
I've been wearing Mocs for the better part of four decades since Sebago introduced the "Campside" back in the late 70s. A few great things about these shoes: They provide great inside foot support; the soul of the shoe doesn't wear much even years later; the white rubber soul is unintrusive and not overly large; the shape and color are exactly right--not overly bulky and not too brown or orange; and the little impressed emblem is unitrusive and hidden in the back heal area. Now, they are a little "bright" just out of the box, and you'll probably get a few "I love your shoe" comments in the first few weeks. But a few hard licks will take care of that "new" look. These shoes certainly give Red Wings and other brands costing 3x as much a great run for their money. I really do love these shoes!

Good sturdy shoe
I am happy with these shoes, they are of good quality materials and are well made, mine were a little stiff when I got them so I've been breaking them in, they were also slightly loose so I have to tie them tighter. I've had no problems with them and I think they'll hold up well over time. It's also a good looking shoe.

No Consumer's Remorse!
For the past several years, I've worn moc-toe Irish Setters and Timberlands. I've put thousands of miles on my pair of Setters and have essentially worn out the sole (it's definitely been a quality boot). Plus, I've given up on purchasing Timberlands because each pair fits a bit wonky, I'm never sure what type of fit or foot support to expect (possibly because they've outsourced their products to China), and the last pair I had came unstitched after just one year of use.I'd never heard of Golden Fox before until I began searching Amazon, and I wanted to give these a try, primarily because of its reasonable prices (as compared to Red Wing and Timberland), they're made in the USA, and other users have given their Golden Foxes good reviews.I'm a teacher and am on my feet all day long, so I've also chosen these shoes since they seem tough and look good with dress pants. Although these shoes were initially stiff and tough to break in, they're starting to soften up and feel more comfortable each time I wear them. I always wear a size 8 in boots, so I ordered these in a size 8 as well. To start, I was wearing these with thin Swiftwick running socks, but after a couple of weeks they've begun to loosen up, and I'm now using medium-thickness Balega socks with them, and now they seem to fit just right.I like these shoes so much that I was about to order another pair in the other color, but I'm going to give these a few more weeks of wear to see if they stretch any more and if I need to size down to a 7 1/2; however, I'm pretty confident now that the 8 is going to work just fine. I reached out to customer service about whether I should size down on the next pair, and I was impressed with how quickly they responded; not to mention, they didn't just try to sell me on another pair - they recommended that I put my current pair through another month of wear before deciding. The only unusual aspect about these shoes is that, although they're constructed of leather, it seems that they've been coated with some type of synthetic finish. Even so, these are proving to be tough, comfortable shoes that I can stand and walk all day within - I have no consumer's remorse about this purchase! And, as I've previously mentioned, I'm definitely going to invest in another pair, especially because great customer service goes a long way with me.
