Size up on these beautiful shoes
Right off the bat I have to say that their sizing is off, unfortunately. Because these boots are lovely otherwise! I ordered my usual size 8.5, but even with the laces completely loosened, I can barely squeeze my feet into these. Once I get these on they are very very tight. I wore them around for about 30 minutes, and when I tried to take them off, my sweat stuck them to my skin, and I need help pulling them off. They have a 39 on the sole, which indicates it is a39 EU size, which should be my size 8.5 unfortunately, they are much too small. The boots are beautiful, and well made. The lace has a layer of plastic looking mesh on the inside that makes it look shiny. The stitching looks good so the way around and they look very well made. They are only laced up the front, so it may take a while leaving them in and off. These don't come with a side zipper. The fit around my ankle and calf is comfortable, even with a bit of wiggle room. The heel is 2 inches, which I appreciate, as I don't like super tall heels. There is a slight new shoe scent, but nothing offensive. Be careful about sizing when you order, I have normal width feet at just over 3.5 wide, but these feel extra narrow, and because of the tapering at the toe, it also feels too small lengthwise as well.
