Comfortable out of the box, fast shipping, and good traction!
I wasn’t sure about size based on other reviews. I wear between a 10 and 11 depending on boot. I went with a 10 since there are no 1/2 sizes. The 10 fit perfect and I have room for winter socks(I live in Minnesota.). So far, they have had good traction with the winter weather we’ve received. They are 100% better than my Docs are in the MN winter. They were also comfortable out of the box. The leather was a bit stiff, but that’s to be expected. I’ve worn them daily since they came, and they’ve broken in nicely. I have had no issues on any long walks with comfort. They came faster then the shipping window too - about a day. All in all, so far, they seem to be a good investment for daily wear winter boots.

i used to buy these all the time in the late 90s until maybe 2009 and back then they were made in england. not anymore. still decent quality. dont kick anything or the steel cap will become loose and move around. these are for looks not for kicking. still the price isnt so bad.if you want high quality find boots and braces brand. those are still made in europe and have classic durability.EDIT: i bought these in december 2023, and have bought a new pair for the street. i have retired my old pair to work only. the 2023 pair need to be resoled which is possible due to the goodyear welt. be sure to clean these and apply leather oil.

Fits as expected, but not super comfortable (personal preference)
I wish I would have gotten the 14 eyelet version. 10 makes them difficult to wear loose without wearing on the heels. Wearing them tight is fine, but not as comfortable for me. I can't return for the upgrade as they creased pretty easy after only 2 times wearing them

Rugged and good looking.I wore these boots for construction. They have held up better than my last pair ,which were the Grinders Stag but had the red rub finish instead. This pair is fairly comfortable.The UK sizes are one size off from US sizes so be aware before you buy and even then they are a bit roomy. They have decent but not incredible arch support. These boots are as rugged as they look. They have notably good grip. They have held up well on dirty, rough construction sites. Cool looking single ply leather. A pair will last you 6 months to 1 year with regular wearing. Still very good value for the price.I like mine alot!

Absolutely terrible.
I bought these around christmas. by mid february the soles were worn down significantly and as of last week the stitching around the rear of the boots have come undone on booth of them. My first pair of grinders lasted me about 3 years. I understand that productions change due to cost management but 3 months is a touch ridiculous for a pair of what used to be marketed as work boots. If i'd wanted boots that would fall apart within months i'd stick to 30 dollar walmart brand boots. Absolutely terrible.
