These shoes are so comfy, it feels like I'm wearing slippers. My feet feel good and I love the copper for grounding! The sizing was perfect and they're super lightweight. Highly recommend! Fast shipping too!
I was really happy to receive my grounding "shoes". They fit perfectly. Very comfortable. I walked from my house to my car, approximately 500 feet and half the copper rivets had fallen off and were lost. I walked back to my house and re-examined the shoes and by that time ALL of the rivets had fallen off and all were now lost. The ground I walked on was soft, compacted soil, a path. This should not have happened in my opinion. These grounding rivets are what the shoe is all about. I requested & got a refund. I'm very disappointed to say the least.
I've purchased two other pairs from other sellers. All they had were 3 rivets in the heels & I returned them. These are the only ones I could find with the rivet between the 1st & 2nd metatarsals, most important rivet placement. On that alone, I'd give high marks. Additionally, they included a pair of copper grounding socks and additional rivets. They took almost a month to arrive. It is essential to order a size larger. They fit perfectly. Almost felt like my feet were naked.Unfortunately, rivet caps started falling out in the first 3 days. I removed the interior posts (the insoles are removable) & sent pix to seller. The posts were oddly bent. Despite this, I loved the shoes even without grounding rivets. But the point was for the grounding.The seller responded immediately. They've been so courteous & determined to make it right with me. We corresponded with each other, allowing me to provide important feedback. Within less than 2 weeks,I received a replacement pair with a different kind of rivet in the important position. Plus, they sent multiple bags of replacement rivets (both types) & another pair of socks. They didn't ask me to return the originals.I've never experienced such top notch customer service. Love the shoes, with & without rivets, & very impressed with the customer service. Anyone complaining about these shoes from THIS seller is too lazy to reach out to the seller to resolve. Highly recommend both the shoes and the seller.
The shoe, itself, is amazing. If you are looking for an extremely comfortable and well-fitting shoe, for a very reasonable price, this is it! However, as you may have noticed from other reviews: The "copper nails" in the soles can fall out. That happened to mine, too. I happened to have on hand some brass paper fasteners. After reading online that brass "has good electrical conductivity, making it suitable for grounding applications," I inserted my brass fasteners where the copper nails had fallen out. I would have preferred copper fasteners, but this was an easy fix.And, because of the way the fasteners are designed, they won't fall out.Without the copper nail problem, I would have given this shoe a "5" (or a "5 Plus," had that been possible).Because I love wearing the shoes, and because I was able to find a simple fix for the copper nail problem,I still gave it a high rating.If the company redesigns the copper inserts so that they consistently remain in place, (or includes copper fasteners with each order so that customers can easily make repairs, as needed), this will be an absolutely amazing product at a very reasonable price.
These grounding shoes are basically water beach shoes that you can buy for less, that come only with two useable rivets (chicago screw) that can be used for grounding of each shoe. The way these beach shoes come is with two rivets inserted into a hole with no opposing side of the rivet to fasten it to the shoe and with instructions sheet that says that they can be used just like that if you take out the insoles. But these rivets are: a) not fastened to the shoe in any way so they would fall out after first use; b) not long enough to actually reach your foot through the rubber sole; c) without the insoles these shoes don't feel comfortable on your feet.Seller offers another option, to insert a chicago screw which they supply into each shoe, punching a hole through the insole. But there is nothing simple about this process as supplied screws are very short and you have to come up with the way to align male and female part of the screws in order to tighten them.They also supply a bunch of tiny rivets that are designed to be just hand pressed that are good for nothing.So to summarize, with these "grounding" shoes you are getting a pair of lightweight barefoot rubber shoes and two small chicago screws that you have to find a way to install yourself. Is it worth it? Just decide for yourself.I gave it a reasonable rating of three stars because the idea of using beach shoes for this purpose seems good to me. I still have to test these shoes with a multimeter to see if they actually conduct electrical current from earth. I don't foresee problems with that but test needs to be done. As an alternative just buy a bunch of chicago screws or copper rivets with a tool to convert your existing shoes to grounding shoes.
There are so many types of these grounding shoes for different purposes. I purchased a general use pair for everyday. Unlike regular shoes, the heel is flat to ground, which straightens my spine and relieves my back pain PLUS other areas of pain! Really didn't believe it until I tried it. Works so well, I bought a second pair for sports-type activities. (specialty shoes for most types of use: casual, exercise & sports. Now when I go out shopping, etc., I see these shoes EVERYWHERE! They are so popular, reasonably priced, AND, when dirty, just throw them in the washing machine! Highly recommend!
