Great boots - zipper will stay up if you "lock" it/push the zipper tab so it stays flat.

I bought these boots for a trip to Quebec City, and they turned out to be great and I wore them every day for the entire day. They were very comfortable in the snow and although the zippers were a little difficult to zip on occasion, they stayed up/locked after I learned how to "lock" the zipper. I was a little nervous having read some of the other reviews, but I think those reviewers must not have "locked" the zipper - the zipper on my right boot did open twice when I was walking, but I noticed that I had not "locked" it - to keep it from opening, I had to press the zipper tab down so that it was flat against the closed zipper and then it didn't open again. The fit was as expected - I wear size 9 and they fit perfectly with a regular weight sock. I have Reynaud's Syndrome, and it was extremely cold in Quebec City for the duration of my trip, but my feet stayed warm and dry the majority of the time except for one day when I was outside the majority of the day, so I inserted two toe warmers and then they stayed warm the rest of the evening.

Great boot for the price

Everyone said to order one size up so I did and it is a little loose. I solve this by wearing thicker socks. My zipper has only fallen down once. Make sure you push it down firmly after zipping it up. They are comfortable and warm. I use them to do yard work and they fit the bill. Look good enough to wear out too. I see similar boots that people paid four or more times for. So, that makes these a great value in my book.

After one year... (updated with customer service)

These boots have incredible lining and keep your feet absolutely warm with no problems at all My feet chill easily due to frostbite when I was younger, and I can walk all day in subzero temps with these and have not problems at all. The problem with these boots is the zipper. It breaks. It was quite hard to zip up before it broke because when you wear these in the winter you have heavy socks on. Also, they are always kinda loose as you walk, which is a bit unsettling. They are waterproof and the construction is top-notch, but that damn zipper needs to be gotten rid of. Now I have to find a way to use they boot post zipper which means drilling holes for eyelets I guess and then strapping them up. Not worth the hassle. Final verdict: don't buy these despite their warmth and good construction.UPDATE FEB 22, 2021: After contacting the company, they readily agreed to refund my money since these boots have a life time warranty. I had no idea. They sent me the pre-printed FedEx label and I sent the boots back after using them for over a year. They stand by their product, that is for sure. I raised the star rating from a 2 to a 3 because of this service. The boots are still not worth buying imo. They will falter at some point. I think Guide Gear should stop selling these particular boots because of that.

Comfort at a low price

So far (I've only had them for a couple of weeks), they are comfortable and warm. They are easy on/off that I was looking for. As others have said, the zipper would not work when I first put them on, but a little bit of wax rubbed on them and they zip easy. I would recommend for others.
