Comfortable fit, nice looking outdoor boots.
This pair of men's outdoor boots are well made. They look great, I think! While the upper part is faux leather, it is waterproof and flexible. There is no break-in period needed for these boots. The sole is made of rubber with excellent gripping for all types of terrain or flooring. I ordered them in a size 8.5 and the fit is so comfy! I'm a woman and ordered them for my own use. My regular women's shoe size is 9 to 9.5 wide, as my feet are slightly wide. I have plenty of toe room in these boots. There is room enough that I can wear thicker socks for cold weather also. I love the padded collar on them. It made them so much more comfortable when I wore them for walking my dog on a rainy day recently. It was a chilly day, but my feet were nice and warm in these boots, without getting hot and sweaty.The only thing I do miss is the arch support. I do know that "barefoot" shoes are made so they simulate walking without shoes, thus no arch support. Since there is some extra room in them, I can add an arch support insole to them to help me with that. The insole that comes in them is soft and cushioned for comfort. However the sole is not overly thick and I did feel limestone poking the bottom of me feet when I walked a short distance on a gravel road. The ouch of the limestone is my reason for the 4 star rating.Over all, I do like these boots and will definitely recommend them. I think they are good for men or women. I would not want to wear them for actual hiking, at least not without some arch support. They are well suited for outdoor chores in all weather types or dog walks. The current price (11-30-2025) of $37.99 is a good value, in my opinion. I would buy them again, without hesitation.

Hiking boots...maybe not, but good daily use shoes for mud and rain.
First of all, the shoes do appear to be consistent with the sizing chart, fitting as I expect them to. Coming out of the package, it's very noticeable that these are plastic-based shoes. They may be "PU Leather", but there is no real resemblance to leather. I would hesitate to use these for long-distance walking, as there is minimal padding in the shoes, especially around the collar area. The soles are very flexible, allowing good traction over uneven terrain, but also with limited arch support. You are able to tighten these shoes up as much as you want, so there is no problem with keeping them snug. As it happened, it was a rainy day when these arrived. Took them out for a "test run" in a yard with equal combination of grass and mud. They did very well as far as repelling water and mud. I think that these shoes will be well-suited for a situation where you needed to get from "point A to point B" and it is wet or muddy outside. I anticipate these being put in my daily-driver for just those situations. One item of note regarding the tread: It seems to be quite capable of handling whatever terrain you are walking on, and again, it does an excellent job of repelling water. The only caution I would give is that when you are coming into your house, office, or car, make certain you check the bottoms (and sides) of the shoes. Because of aggressive sole pattern, it will collect mud and takes a solid effort to get it all off the tread.

Budget Boot for Wide Toe Boxes
I ordered these barefoot boots for my brother, who usually hikes with Lone Peak Altras. He has a wide foot and he strongly prefers wide toe boxes. These were a little different for him, because they are not just wide toe boxes, but "Barefoot" style.He finds these Harence boots comfortable enough for regular wear (he's on his feet all day for his job). The material is like a plasticky pleather, but he likes the tan color enough that he does not mind the material. They are water proof (great for our rainy weather).The only down side is they took slightly longer to "break in" than his Lone Peaks, but at this price? He says it's worth the compromise!
