I bought these boots for my husband for his work. He LOVES them. They are high quality very durable steel toe boots with soft interior for comfort. They are true to size. He likes them so much he wears them when he is not working sometimes. The are water proof/resistant, provides superior protection and even adds 2 inches to his height. He and I highly recommend these boots. Totaly worth the price.
These boots arrived on time. I have tried 3 other brands, and had to return them, as they did not fit at all. One pair I could not even get my foot past the instep. So, just about gave up. Then found these HD boots. Wasn't to impressed with the inside zipper. However when I got the boots, I did have to unzip them, to get the boot on. But, AMAZING! THEY FIT, NOT TOO BIG, NOT TOO TIGHT. I wore them to work all day, no break in time at all. At the end of the day, unzipped them and my feet felt great, no blisters, no rub sore spots. I am so impressed, I ordered another pair today. Sure hope they are a good as these I am enjoying. HIGHLY SATISFIED. P.S. I am on my feet, and walk about 2-3 miles a day. Thanks to the Chinese workers who made some high quality, good steel toe books. Wish these were made in America.
These are the best work boots I've ever worn. I'll be buying more in the future.
This a very nice boot and I feel an exceptional buy at this price point. They fit well and to size for me and are very comfortable right out of the box. I do have 2 issues that are specific to me i suppose... 1) If you have muscular calves, these boots can be a little snug at the top. They are for me, but they should loosen up as they break in. 2) The toe is a good bit higher than my other riding boots, enough where I may need to move my shift peg up a notch. This will cause a bit of a problem when going between these boots and the riding boots I like to wear when it is really hot. Not as much a problem as a nuisance.
Of the choices on fit, I had to choose "Somewhat Small"...HOWEVER; if you do not have a tall foot (high in-step or 'club' foot), these boots fit perfectly. I wear size 9 1/2 boots...and these ARE 9 1/2 boots. My issue is the clearance at the top of my feet---pretty tight and taking a while to break in; so just be aware of that if you have a tall foot. That is my own problem. If I had a chance to try them on before buying, I MAY have gone a half a size up if it meant the top of the boot was more comfortable, but it's too hard to tell without physically comparing the two sizes.These boots get 5 stars, because (aside from my tight at the top issue) everything about the boots screams quality. First of all; I've always been a fan of Wolverine's, and that's who makes them (their web address is stamped on the bottom of the boot). Secondly, the materials, stitching, build, weight, and looks are all flawless on the pair I received. And last, but not least, these boots (for me any way), are so cool they give you a 'cool confidence' when you put them on...kept clean, they can be worn for any occasion from weddings & funerals, to Rock concerts and Rodeos.By the way; leather is not water proof (never has been, never will be)...best thing to do to make them as water "resistant" as possible, is to get some Mink Oil or any other leather treatment product, and treat them. They will repel water better, and last longer.I DO ride a motorcycle...but I don't think you have to be a motorcycle rider to own these boots. If you like good quality boots, buy a pair.
8/2024Update, the insides on that same right boot have became unattached and are loose.It bunches up and irritates the back of my heal.Super bummed on the poor quality.Deducted yet another star.3/2024Update.The rear of the sole on the right boot is coming off.I've worn these about 10 times to date and though they are comfortable the fact that they are coming apart already is a real let down.For reference, not a single other set of boots I have has this issue. So it's not something I've done to cause an issue here.The picture is exaggerated a bit as I bent it over for a better view/picture to see what was going on.There are no abrasion marks on the boot.Original 5/2023I had high expectations and was not completely let down.They fit well but they are not as tall as I thought they were. Suspect that was on my side nothing to do with the seller.I've worn them while riding a couple times now and am pleased with my decision to buy them.
I purchased these boots for my husband who is really hard on shoes. I have a difficult time finding footwear that will hold up to his demands. I decided to buy him Harley Davidson brand because my daughter loved the Harley boots that were purchased for her. I purchased the first pair of Harleys for my daughter when she was in college. Even though she wore the boots daily and walked several miles getting to classes... the boots lasted beyond her grad school years.Though my husband was a little skeptical about the tighter shaft and zipper...he loved the boots. He says that they are the most comfortable pair of boots he has ever owned. No break-in pains! The zipper makes them easier for him to get on, and the tighter shaft does not rub the leg. The boots seem to be very durable.I work in a manufacturing facility, on my feet on concrete for 12-hr shifts. Steel toes are a requirement for my job. I plan to purchase these boots for myself as soon as I qualify again for my annual steel toe footwear reimbursement.
