Fashionable Faux Leather Love At First Sight
If first impressions are the most important ones, then this was love at first sight for me. They look even nicer than the photos in person, and they were packaged with a level of care and quality that go well beyond their asking price. The shoe box is very nondescript, but it’s a much more elegant design in the sense that the top isn’t separate and the cardboard is far more dense than many much more expensive shoes are sent in. Once the box is open, the shoes are essentially covered in white packing material. Once that’s removed, there’s a bubble packing material to make sure the shoes stay in perfect shape within the shoe itself. Once that’s removed, there’s a hard cardboard shell that’s not the usual cheap paper one found even in high end shoes which can actually be reused, or even used for storing these shoes.Now, on to the shoes themselves. The shoes look better than the product photos, and this is largely due to the choice of of faux leather materials. These shoes have the look of fully polished leather, with a superbly stitched exterior that has no loose threads. The sole of the shoe is nice and thick, and they are true to size. I wear a size 12, and my feet are wide and flat, so finding the perfect shoes in stores is very difficult for me. On top of that, because of standing up for long hours while DJing events, padded insoles are needed. Once the insoles were in, the shoes felt amazing. I can’t comment on how they feel without the insoles, but the material stretches conformably enough to accommodate for the insoles, so hopefully that helps anyone that’s on the fence about buying these. These shoes are essentially a replica of a pair of real leather Aldo shoes that lasted me 13 years before they literally ripped apart. Those cost me around $130, so in all honesty, if these last me a few years, due to the price, and the quality of how they arrived, it would still be a fantastic deal given the stylish look they have. In many ways, the two tone darker shoe tip into the light brown tone actually makes these look nicer than my previous Aldo shoes, given that those were a darker uniform brown tone.These shoes arrived the same day they were ordered, and worn from 8pm-2am, for a New Year’s Eve DJ gig. They didn’t hurt my feat, nor did they make them sweat due to being faux leather. All in all, these are an easy 5 stars for me for style, comfort, and accurate sizing that allows for me to wear my insoles without any issues at all.
