Comfortable, well made and nice looking!
I ordered these because I thought they might look neat as a decorative piece or just something to have that, to me, is quite unique. So when they arrived I was very happy with the way they look. The wooden part is stained in a dark finish and the fabric has a pretty blue and gold dragon design. Of course….I had to try them on! To my surprise they are actually really comfortable! I had a hip replacement a few years ago so I’m very careful about doing things that might cause me to fall but these feel very sturdy and balanced! They are quite well made and the straps that go between your toes is elastic so it’s a bit stretchy and super comfortable! I got them in a large and being that I wear a women’s size 10 and have a wide foot I wasn’t sure they would even fit me but they fit perfectly fine! Actually there’s still room on the sides and back. They measure just under 5” wide and the lift on these is 1.5” so I instantly felt taller and more powerful in these! It also feels like these make me stand up straighter!While the shoes don’t feel like they will fall apart or anything, they do take a minute to get used to walking in. Since they don’t bend like normal shoes you have to figure out how to walk without bending your foot. It’s hard to describe just how to do it but once you put these on and take a step you will understand! While that makes walking feel different, it didn’t change my opinion on the shoes. I’m still super impressed with them, to the point where I walk around the house with them on sometimes just because I like the way they feel and since they make me taller I can reach things that I couldn’t reach before! They come with the white socks that have a split in the toe to allow you to be able to slide the shoes between your toes while you are wearing the socks. I don’t know if I will use the socks but it’s good to have them just in case. Overall, the are super well made, very nice looking and comfortable shoes and are absolutely worth the price.

I was pleasantly surprised when these arrived. I have only seen this type of shoe in movies.I see the words 'flip flop' in the product title...but don't get the wrong idea...not related to western flip flops in any way.I am a size 10 and ordered the large model, annnnnd it's a bit too small for me. I should have known that but I had a back up plan...the wife. I had no idea what she would think of these. But she loved them at first sight.Now I am not speaking out of turn here when I say my lovely wife is not an ultra coordinated ballerina. Sometimes she just falls down for no apparent reason (to me anyways). But she mastered these pretty quickly.Why do I say that? Because these shoes will change your posture...for the better. One of the things my wife really likes now. It made me stand differently...back up straight, balance gets readjusted slightly. At first it feels daunting...but after a short while it seems normal (ish).The heels have a grippy surface which is great for wood and tile. It may help them last longer on pavement as well.I found it to be pretty easy to walk in after some practice. my lovely wife even commented on how easy it was after some practice.They look nice, I'd go for silver accents over gold but that's no biggie. This is a good introduction to this type of shoe.Definitely worth a try!

They’re more lightweight than I expected, but made well. Comfortable Geta Sandals
These are great Geta sandals! They’re made of a firm, durable, and very nicely polished dark wood. The insides of the shoes shine like they’re covered with excellent lacquer, and the cloth straps are comfortable, attached well, and have dragon designs on them. The design’s placement is inconsistent between both shoes— which I personally like, as it looks handcrafted that way. The lifts on the bottom have a thin strip of rubber with some traction on them to prevent slipping, and complementary pair of white socks is included in the package.I got these for my son in a size large. He wears a men’s size 10 - 10.5, and they fit him very nicely. His foot is on most of the shoe, with a little bit of extra room at the back. I also tried these on to see how they are to walk in. The two wooden blocks are comfortable and keep you balanced. They put most of the weight on the middle of your feet, so if you’re a tip-toe walker (I am) you have to consciously avoid tipping your weight toward the front of your toes.Overall, these are excellent! My son always wondered what Geta sandals would be like to walk in, and I thought it would be a cool gift for him to be able to experience that and keep the shoes either for casual wear or as decorative pieces. 10/10!

Surprisingly comfortable
I'm a bit surprised how much I wound up liking these sandals. The only thing is I need to figure out how to walk without the front clipping the pavement but that's more of a me problem. You'd think walking would be difficult but it isn't at so. There also a bit of grip at the bottom that helps hold on to the ground.
