These boots are outstanding ! I ordered a half size larger than normal, because they did not have US 9.5 in Navy, (so I got US 10). However, that turned out to be PERFECT. Not a sloppy fit, but 'just right.' They are easy to get on and off.Incredibly supple. The deck of our boat is in joy when I'm wearing them ! The soles give great grip. The perfect 'wet weather' boot ! And far more affordable than at the Marine Store.
These are great. I use them for gardening when it is soggy outside and they work perfectly. They are sturdy and not any more uncomfortable than you might imagine. They are a good deal even though they are pricey. I would expect they wil last me a long time as long as I take care of them.
Well made rain boot. Simple design that doesn't try to look tougher or rugged. Insole is removable (GREAT!)...pretty well cushioned but flat (no arch support) so I swapped it out for a more contoured hiking insert (Superfeet). I normally wear a 10.5 and, as these are only in whole sizes, got the size 11. They seem to be true to size as the 11 is a little loose (as I would expect). I wouldn't wear these hiking, but with the Superfeet in them they are quite comfortable.The tread is not very aggressive (a zigzag pattern) but would be fine for wet/muddy conditions around the yard. A more aggressive lugged design might make these better on a muddy slope or in snowy conditions, but that's not why I got these. For use when doing yard work or power washing the driveway/patio, these are just fine. And the less aggressive tread actually makes them a bit easier to wash off when done with my chores.
Wanted alternative to the stiff, bulky and poor-fitting welly boots I was using in my yard during our rainy, muddy winters. I have other HH outerwear that has been really high quality, so I decided to try the boots. Turns out to be a good choice. The boots fit well, almost like shoes- seem to be true to the marked size. Soles are slip-resistant but without the deep lugs the my old boots had, so I'm no longer carrying a ton of mud on my feet.
I found the sizing on the small side and the boot is only really a light duty rain boot with no insole.
I bought these for winter sailing and have been extremely pleased with their appearance, quality, and performance! I was worried because they're listed as fashion rain boots, but I have never slipped on the deck while wearing them. The gum rubber sole is non-marking (which keeps the boat owner happy). The high cuff stays tucked under my Salopettes while while sitting on the rail and moving around deck. I found they were sufficiently warm when paired with some wool hiking socks. And a nice extra, they look really sharp!
Oh wow! These boots are sooo well cut and very comfortable. I wear deck boots most of the year round. I built and operate a Yacht cleaning business. I usually buy another brand but no longer. These aren't clunky as most rubber deck boots are. Simple, stylish and well fitting enough to wear on shore in urban areas. Deal for the money, if they last me a year I'll be ecstatic!
