Comfortable, functional and fashionable
I have lots of shoes and boots. And several pairs of my shoes are ey Dudes. The brand is exceptional for comfort and quality if your foot is shaped right for the shoe. And when I’m picking a shoe or a boot, I go for substance over style. It has to be comfortable and functional first and foremost. I don’t care how pretty or cute a shoe or a boot is, if it is not both comfortable and functional I’m not getting it. These boots totally hit the mark. They are the comfort you would expect from Hey Dudes. And as a boot, they are definitely functional. They have a good tread on the bottom that would work for every day wear or city walking or even a hiking trail, and they seem like they would also to just fine on a rainy day. They come up high enough on the ankle to provide a good amount of support there. The color I got is tobacco brown, and the shade of brown is a little bit lighter in person than they are in the picture on the website. I would call them nice medium brown, not too light and not too dark. The lace and trim colors are a nice shade of blue that will go very well with jeans. And there is even some pretty sparkle in the fabric that you might use to help get your foot into the boot, which is placed at the top of the tongue, and the heel of the boot. I normally wear a size 6 in Hey Dudes, and that is a perfect fit with no extra room. In these boots I stuck with the size 6, and they are a little bit longer than the shoes are on my foot, so I have a little bit of extra room in the toe but not too much for it to be a problem. I expect it will actually come in handy if I want to wear a thicker sock for cooler weather. They fit a little bit more snug around my foot, which is what you would expect from a boot. They are made of leather with suede accents on the tongue and the heel. I expect they will stretch a little bit after a couple of wears. They are exceptionally well-made and very good quality. An excellent bargain for the $68 I paid for them. I expect to have these boots for years. I like them enough to buy another pair, but I need another pair of boots like I need a hole in the head so I will try to control myself. But I have a feeling these are going to be a favorite for me.
